Acerca de Grief Witnessed

Grief Witnessed is a podcast about the kind of grief we don’t talk about enough and the power of being truly seen inside it. Each episode shares real, honest stories of loss in all its forms: the death of a partner, parent, or child… the grief of divorce… the life you thought you’d have but didn’t get. This podcast exists to witness grief. NOT to fix it, rush it, or tidy it up. Just to sit with it.

Choosing Love with Collin Farias

Don't forget to watch on YouTube! [https://youtu.be/4ssJ6xTF-Y8] In this episode of Grief Witnessed, I sit down with Collin to talk about love, loss, faith, and how quickly life can change. Before meeting Camry, Collin thought he would become a pastor. After moving to Australia and pursuing ministry, an unexpected shift sent him on a deep faith journey. Through his journey he then met Camry. What started as a stage 1 colon cancer diagnosis while they were dating quickly became stage 4. In the middle of it all, they chose love anyway. They got engaged in February 2025, found out they were expecting a baby later that month, got married in March, and just a few months later, Camry passed away. Collin and Camry's preemie son lived nine days, and taught him more about love that he ever thought possible. Collin and I lost our spouses only about a month apart, so this conversation felt deeply personal. We talk about caregiving, anticipatory grief, becoming a parent while losing your person, and the questions grief can bring to faith and identity. This episode is about loving deeply in the face of uncertainty, and learning how to carry both grief and gratitude at the same time. 🤍 Follow Collin here [https://www.instagram.com/collinfarias?igsh=MXZhNjIwand4eGtpMg%3D%3D] <3

"You're So Strong" with Leslie Harter-Berg

Don't forget to watch on YouTube! In this episode of Grief Witnessed, I sit down with Leslie Harter-Berg to talk about grief, motherhood, and the complicated feeling of being told “you’re so strong.” After the sudden loss of her husband, Leslie found herself raising two young boys while trying to navigate a life she never imagined. She shares what that really looked like behind the scenes. Not just strength, but exhaustion, loneliness, and the quiet, everyday moments of figuring out how to keep going. We talk about the pressure people feel to be “strong” in grief, and how that word can sometimes miss what’s really going on underneath. Leslie opens up about learning to carry both love and loss at the same time, and what it’s looked like to slowly rebuild her life. Leslie is the author of You’re So Strong, a beautiful and honest reflection on grief, widowhood, and letting go of the expectations we place on ourselves. Get the book here! Rainbows for Emerson Nicole: A Conversation about Miscarriage with Abby Howard

Don't forget to watch on YouTube! [https://youtu.be/AYQKIK6KyOw] In this episode of Grief Witnessed, I sit down with Abby Howard [https://www.instagram.com/abbyelizabethoward/]as she shares the story of losing her baby girl and the confusing, tender kind of grief that comes with loving someone you never got to hold the way you imagined. Abby opens up about the moment everything changed. A routine appointment, and then the words no parent is ever prepared to hear. There was no heartbeat. What followed was a heartbreak that is hard to put into words, the kind that gently reshapes everything you thought life would look like. In this conversation, we talk about pregnancy loss, the kind of grief that so many carry but don’t always have space to share. Abby speaks so honestly about walking through that pain, holding onto her baby’s life, and finding ways to honor her in the middle of it all. She shares the meaning behind her baby girl’s name, including the middle name Nicole, chosen in honor of her angel sister and the nurse who cared for them so tenderly in the hospital. It is such a beautiful reflection of the love that surrounds even the hardest moments. This episode is about motherhood, about loss, and about a love that exists even without a lifetime. It is about remembering, honoring, and holding onto the ones we carry in our hearts.

Choosing IVF with a Cancer Diagnosis

Don't forget to watch on Youtube! [https://youtu.be/AEnJK5WvG2E] In this episode of Grief Witnessed, I sit down with my dear friend Jenn to talk about her story with her husband Justin, and the loss that changed everything. Just two months into their marriage, Justin was diagnosed with cancer. In the middle of it all, they chose to keep building their life, welcoming twin boys through IVF. Justin was there for their birth… and just a few months later, Jenn said goodbye to him. Her story feels so close to my own. We both know what it’s like to bring a baby (or babies in her case!) into the world, and then lose your husband shortly after. It’s a kind of heartbreak that reshapes everything. Jenn shares what it looks like to grieve while becoming a mom, and how she’s learned to carry both love and loss at the same time. Through her Instagram, she now helps others cherish and preserve memories, and she’s the author of a children’s book and a grief journal created from her own experience. Follow her here [https://www.instagram.com/cocoscaravan] and check out her children's book here! [https://www.amazon.com/We-Miss-Papa-Bear-remembering/dp/B0GQBSQHQL?ref_=ast_author_mpb] This episode is about love, loss, and learning how to keep going. 🤍
