What AI Gives Back to Physical Therapists w/ Justin Moore, American Physical Therapy Association

Physical therapy is facing the perfect storm: a workforce stretched thin by a shortage of more than twelve thousand physical therapists and a demand curve that’s booming faster than most practices can keep pace with. Add to that a wave of AI tools rapidly moving into clinical workflows and the profession is navigating more change, faster, than at any point in its history. Justin Moore, CEO, American Physical Therapy Association, joins HumanifAI HealthTech to discuss how AI can serve as a workforce multiplier for PT practices, what it will take for the profession to move from surviving to thriving, and why trust is the real implementation challenge in 2026. ---- 🎙 ABOUT JUSTIN MOORE:  Justin Moore, PT, DPT, is Chief Executive Officer of the American Physical Therapy Association. Prior to being named CEO, Justin served APTA as its Executive Vice President, Public Affairs, and before that, served in several government affairs positions including work as the association’s lead lobbyist on Capitol Hill. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston, his Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Iowa, and his Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from Iowa State University.
