In this episode I share a story of how I received Godly advise and counsel from two powerful women of God for a situation I was facing and related it to the story of Jethro (Moses's father in law) and Moses. We all need to have wise people around us and be able to take counsel from others. Who do you turn to when you need advice? If you are a single mother or father raising children in today's society I want you to know that you are not alone and if you lean on God for help it makes your parenting better. Single parents are individuals who raise their children without the support of a partner. We tend to manage all aspects of parenting, from providing emotional and financial support to making important decisions about their children's education, health, and well-being. We as single parents often juggle multiple responsibilities, balancing work and family life while striving to create a nurturing and stable environment for their children. Despite the challenges, many single parents find strength, resilience, and fulfillment in their journey, drawing on their inner resources and often relying on community and faith for support. Podcast Episode 46 Into the Wilderness: Following Jesus' Example

In this podcast, I dive into the profound spiritual journey of Jesus Christ during His 40 days in the wilderness. According to the Gospels, immediately after His baptism, Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. This period was a pivotal moment in His ministry, filled with trials, temptations, and profound spiritual growth. Key Themes and Insights: * Solitude and Reflection: Jesus' time in the wilderness was one of solitude and deep reflection. Away from the distractions of daily life, He communed with God, preparing Himself for the mission ahead. This teaches us the value of seeking quiet times to connect with God and reflect on our purpose. * Overcoming Temptation: During His time in the wilderness, Jesus faced three significant temptations from Satan. Each temptation was an attempt to derail His mission and compromise His integrity. By steadfastly relying on God's Word and His identity as God's Son, Jesus overcame each challenge, providing us a model for resisting temptation and standing firm in our faith. * Dependence on God: Jesus' wilderness experience underscores the importance of total dependence on God. When tempted to turn stones into bread, He responded that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. This reminds us that our spiritual sustenance is paramount and that God's provision is always sufficient. * Spiritual Strength and Preparation: The wilderness was not just a place of testing but also one of preparation. Jesus emerged from the wilderness strengthened and ready to begin His public ministry. Similarly, our own wilderness experiences can serve to refine us, strengthen our faith, and prepare us for future challenges and opportunities. Podcast Episode 45 People, Places and Things

In this episode I am talking about people, places, and things. In order to have a  growing relationship with the Lord, all things must become new. We, as well as people, places, and things, become new. We may continue with our place of employment and we may continue living with our families, but both become new. They are new because we now represent Christ to our fellow workers and to our family. Our associations tend to be with like- minded Christians connected through the Spirit. Our number of associations will increase as we minister and become known in God’s family throughout the community. Those with whom we spend most of our time, and the places we go, and the things we do have all changed. We have not only replaced sinful places and things, but we have also replaced worldly things, for Godly ones. If we want to be a Godly person we spend time with Godly people. If we spend time with worldly people we start following the ways of the world. People, places, and things, if any one of these is changed, then all three normally change. If we hang around worldly people we end up going with them to worldly places and doing worldly things. Becoming this new creation is the process of being molded to the mind and heart of Christ.
