Come to the Table and Choose LIFE!

The ancient truths of The Living God are true whether we believe them or not. And I believe He is all about LIFE and placing opportunities allllllll around us that beacon for us to choose LIFE, but are we? Or are we listening to the voices of Death? This year, the month of October on the Gregorian calendar line up with the Hebrew month Tishri. The two months have a lot of similarities, but one has a central core of celebrating LIFE and the trumpet call for LIFE and allowing God Himself to cleanse and sanctify us and prepare us to be in His Presence forever followed by an 8-day PHAT party to celebrate and one is about glorifying, amplifying, and magnifying death. In the American culture, the pagan festival has become so central to our fall rhythms that black skulls and witches and jack-o-lanterns start showing up on our grocery store aisles in September. They’re even cutesy and cartoonie, trying to soften the blow that at it’s core, it’s about dressing up and pretending to be something we’re not. Now, I’m all about playing and fantasy and costumes—but the difference in the core messages between Tishri and what it represents and October and what it represents is striking. Our Duty to Sow into the Land

As a citizen, I can sometimes feel powerless and voiceless. As busy, working parents with very full lives, it can often feel daunting to know when and were to put our efforts. Tune in for some ideas! I have done some extensive research and love to observe human behavior. I have come to learn to look at people’s actions more than I listen to their words. Obviously words matter a great deal—but more times than not, someone’s consistent, repeated behavior over time is what tells the more complete story. I have come to believe that we are in one of the most pivotal times in our nation’s history. I am passionate about the land and her people and communities and I strongly believe that no citizen can sit this one out. I firmly believe we all must do our own due diligence of the party platforms and candidates and make our decision and commit to vote. Period. I have also come to believe that if we call ourselves a Christian, we have a particular responsibility to engage in the voting process. I have spent many hours researching this, praying over this issue, and even considering not voting…but, I have come to deeply believe that we will stand before The Living God and we will have to answer for why or why not we didn’t do all we could to ensure good leadership for communities. Persona of Love

Love is an interesting concept that can so easily get clouded and confused. I personally had a lot to learn about the tangible, tactile, real definition of Love as opposed to chemistry or some etherial, pie in the sky, unattainable definition. I found that it is largely behavioral and a choice. Wait, a choice? Yes—I find myself having to choose Love over fear or hate a million times a day, but the more I choose the pathway of Love, the easier it gets. The cultural messages around Love are so jacked up and that jacked me up even more. It took me some time to get it all figured out, but I have found such peace in truly understanding that Love can be seen and observed and felt and chosen. Love is patient, it is kind, it is not arrogant or rude, it is not boastful, it bares all things. True Love never ends and is behavioral. Why the Revolt Against the White Man?

These are some interesting observations worth considering. It is my belief that every single race, tribe, tongue, and nation have WONDERFUL things to bring to the table and a load of crap to bring to the table too. 🤣 If we are willing to recognize that all humans have value simply because they are human and learn from one another, there is some hope for the human race!
