Acerca de Midtown Fellowship: Two Notch
Teaching from Midtown Fellowship's Two Notch church in Columbia, SC. We exist to be a Jesus-centered family on mission.
John | The Hour of Glory | April 12
Sermon by Ant Frederick on April 12, 2026. Key scripture: John 17:1-5 Jesus’ path to the cross redefines glory, showing that through His sacrifice, we are given the greatest gift: a restored relationship with God.
John | Your Sorrow Will Turn to Joy | April 5
Sermon by Ant Frederick on April 5, 2026. Key scripture: John 16:16-22 In John 16 Jesus teaches that the crushing grief of the crucifixion will be supernaturally transformed into the "unsinkable joy" of the resurrection. Using the metaphor of childbirth, Jesus illustrates how the coming renewal of all things in Christ provides a hope so certain and permanent that it can reframe even the most life-altering pains and disappointments.
John | A Life Lit Up By The Spirit | March 29
Sermon by Ant Frederick on March 29, 2026. Key scripture: John 16:5-15 Jesus promised His disciples that the Holy Spirit would not only be with them but would actively work in their lives. In John 16:5-15, Jesus spells out the Spirit's job description — convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, guiding believers into truth, and ultimately pointing us to the glory of Christ. Through three pictures of light, we see a Spirit who diagnoses our deepest problem, lights the path forward, and keeps our eyes fixed on the only One who can save.
John | Hated on Account of Jesus’ Name | March 22
Sermon by Ant Frederick on March 22, 2026. Key scripture: John 15:18-27 Following Jesus changes more than what we believe—it changes how we live in the world. In John 15:18–27, Jesus prepares his disciples for the reality that faithfulness to him will sometimes create tension with the world around them. Yet he also reminds them that they are not alone: the Holy Spirit empowers believers to stand firm and bear witness to Christ with courage and love.
John | The Truth about Change | March 15
Sermon by Ant Frederick on March 15, 2026. Key scripture: John 14:15-31 In John 15, through the image of the vine and the branches, Jesus reveals where real, lasting change actually comes from. If you’ve ever felt stuck, weary, or resigned in your spiritual growth, he reminds us that fruit isn’t produced by striving harder—but by abiding deeper. When we stay connected to Christ, trust the Father’s pruning, and walk in obedient faith, He produces the kind of transformation we could never manufacture on our own.
