Ep#4: The Never Ending Loop: Homelessness, Psychiatric Disorder, Morbidity Rate

According to The Psychiatric Time, researches have shown a clear link between homelessness that leads to mental illness, or vice versa and then all roads lead to a higher morbidity rate. 40% of the homeless are vets, 25% of the homeless have serious mental illness, and about 41% of vets have mental illness.  Today’s show will be joined by our dear friend Nicole Huguenin, who is the Founder of Care Circle. She is an innovator of thoughts and actions, and a fierce advocate for a better way of being and doing on this planet. Nicole has spent the last decade tending and advocating for the homeless in Maui, Hawaii. We will get to hear first hand what is really happening out there, and stories of hope. #homeless #homelessvets #homelessnessandmentalillness  Darla Mersman, Therapist & Patient joins force with Mai Vu Coach, Relationship Expert, to bring you an authentic conversation about mental illnesses and love. #mentalillness #mentalhealth #mybrainsanasshole #boldbravewomen #boldbravewoman #maivucoach #shaming #mentalhealthshaming If you enjoy what we do and would like to support us, please like, comment, and share. Ep 2: How You Might Be Shaming Mental Illness and NOT Know It!

Darla Merman and Mai Vu Coach will talk about the many ways mental illness is being shamed by society and in our own mind, that often goes unnoticed. This shaming impedes us from getting help, healing, and supporting each other adequately.  #mentalillness [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/mentalillness] #mentalhealth [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/mentalhealth] #mybrainsanasshole [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/mybrainsanasshole] #boldbravewomen [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/boldbravewomen] #boldbravewoman [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/boldbravewoman] #maivucoach [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/maivucoach] #shaming [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/shaming] #mentalhealthshaming [https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/mentalhealthshaming]  If you enjoy what we do and would like to support us, please like, comment, and share.
