Holiness Doesn’t Let You Stay

What Are You Afraid Of?

Holiness Burns Before It Heals

God does not expose you to abandon you. He exposes what He wants to restore. In this message from Isaiah 6:6–7, we look at the moment when the burning coal touches Isaiah’s lips. Isaiah had confessed his uncleanness before a holy God, but God did not leave him undone. God moved toward him, cleansed him, and removed what Isaiah could never remove on his own. Holiness burns before it heals. But the fire of God is not meant to destroy you. It is meant to cleanse you. If you have been carrying shame, hiding sin, or resisting the place God wants to touch, this message is an invitation to stop running and let Him finish the work He started. Seeing God Ruins Pretending

What happens when seeing God ruins your ability to pretend? In Isaiah 6, Isaiah stands before the holiness of God and his first response is not comparison, excuses, or self-improvement. His response is confession: “Woe is me, for I am ruined.” This message from our Holy Revealed series reminds us that the presence of God exposes what we often try to hide. We can pretend in front of people, minimize sin, compare ourselves to others, and act like everything is okay. But before a holy God, pretending ends. God does not expose us to shame us. He reveals what is true so real freedom, confession, repentance, and transformation can begin.
