Acerca de Pastor Chris' Podcast
I'm a pastor, dad, husband, and child of God. I'm broken, but blessed. The cracks are where the Light shines through. My mission is to help people grow closer to God with every breath and step I take. I gave my life to Christ at an early age and have grown closer through the years, spurred on by the study of the Bible, my church family, and the Chrysalis and Walk to Emmaus Communities. I accepted the call to full -time ministry as a pastor in 1999 and have served 4 different churches in Georgia. Music, preaching, and teaching are the heart of my ministry. Outside of the pulpit, I enjoy many hobbies that help me blow off steam. These include martial arts, woodworking, blacksmithing, gardening, cooking, and being creative. I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none. My philosophy is use what you have, do it yourself if you can, learn something in the process, and have lots of fun. This channel is a place to share it all with you.
Take Up Your Cross | A Sermon on Matthew 16:21-28
In this message from Matthew 16:21–28, I explore what Jesus meant when He told His disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. Peter wanted a kingdom without suffering, but Jesus shows that the path to real life runs through sacrifice and surrender. In this sermon, we wrestle with the true cost of discipleship and discover that even while we carry our cross, God gives us glimpses of His kingdom glory.
Thank You for the Time
“Thank You for the Time” is a reflective acoustic folk song written as a letter to God. It tells the story of a life spent moving, following God’s calling, and finding gratitude for a season of stability, community, and growth. Through blessings and hardships alike, the song celebrates the people, the place, and the journey—while remembering that our true home is always with God.

Peace or Division
In this sermon from Luke 12:49–53, I explore how Jesus disturbs false peace to bring true peace through a right relationship with God.
Rough Waters
When the waves start rising and the ride gets rough, you’ve got a choice—panic or trust the Captain. This groovy roots-rock anthem was inspired by a simple cruise announcement and turned into a reminder of a deeper truth: storms don’t mean you’re off course. The ride may get bumpy, but you’re not steering alone. Hold steady. We’re gonna make it through.
