The Pod it Away awards - Season 1 Finale | Ep.41

Episode 41 is HERE — and so is our Season 1 finale. 🎙️✨ After 41 episodes, a full Eurovision season that took us from the national finals all the way to Vienna and beyond, it is time to close the chapter in style. This week we are not doing a regular news episode. Instead — we are handing out the first ever Pod It Away Awards. Ten categories. Two hosts. And absolutely no guarantee we agree on everything. Best Performance of Eurovision 2026. Best Staging. Best Vocals. Best Surprise. Biggest Disappointment. Best National Final of the Season. Best Interview of Pod It Away Season 1. Highlight of the Eurovision 2026 Season. Most Beloved Episode of Season 1. And our Best Wish for Eurovision 2027. From DARA's historic victory in Vienna to the pre-parties, the semi-finals, the moments that surprised us and the ones that didn't go as we hoped — we look back on everything that made this season what it was. And we look ahead to Bulgaria 2027 with one final wish before we sign off. After the awards — a message for all of you before we head into our summer break. We will be keeping you updated on all the latest Eurovision 2027 news through our social media channels in the meantime. Thank you for an incredible Season 1. This one is for you. 🎶 Listen and watch now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media. Pod It Away will return for Season 2. 🎙️✨ 🎉 Music provided by Achilleas Kalantzis / Suncord Audiolab. All rights reserved.

ESC 2026 figures are in - Bulgaria is gearing up | Ep.40

Episode 40 is HERE — and Eurovision 2027 is officially in motion. This week we have everything. The official numbers from Vienna 2026 are in and we discuss everything about the 70th Eurovision Song Contest figures. And then there is Bulgaria. The EBU's own Director said it — there is no other case like it in the history of the contest. In the space of three days, the host city bidding process officially launched with Sofia and Burgas emerging as the favourites, Martin Green visited Bulgaria and handed over the official Welcome Pack, and the government organising committee held its first meeting. Bulgaria means business. We also look at Sanremo 2027 — dates confirmed, new host confirmed, and rumours of a dedicated Eurovision selection night. Azerbaijan's fans have launched a petition with over 1,300 signatures demanding a complete reform of the country's Eurovision selection process after four consecutive semi-final eliminations. And South Korea — an official announcement suggests the winner of the Asia Eurovision Song Contest could participate in Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria. We discuss what that actually means and how excited we are about it. Numbers, preparations, petitions and K-pop — this one has it all. Listen and watch now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media. New episodes every Wednesday at 8:00 PM CET — glitter and drama guaranteed to beat the midweek blues! 🎉 Music provided by Achilleas Kalantzis / Suncord Audiolab. All rights reserved.

We look back at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna: what worked, what didn't, and what Bangaranga's historic victory means for the contest going forward. We share our visions for Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria — what we want to see, what we expect, and which storylines we'll be following closely as the new season begins. And of course — we talk about what are our plans as we head into a brand new Eurovision year. Four hosts. One shared passion for the greatest show on earth. Special guests, big conversations, and plenty of opinions — this one has it all. Listen and watch now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media. The queue is growing - Who's joining Eurovision 2027 | Ep.38

Episode 38 is HERE — and everybody wants to go to Bulgaria. 🎙️🇧🇬 Vienna may be over, but the Eurovision 2027 story is already moving at full speed. This week we have a packed post-contest news roundup — and the theme is clear: more countries want in, and everyone has opinions. Kosovo has issued its strongest case yet for EBU membership, with RTK's Acting Director General writing directly to the EBU ahead of the Prague General Assembly on June 25 and 26 — where new membership categories could finally open the door. Slovakia was spotted in the Vienna press centre and their Director-General has confirmed publicly: they will return to Eurovision, sooner or later. The Netherlands situation is getting complicated — AVROTROS is still waiting for the EBU evaluation, but Omroep Max has now stepped forward and said: if AVROTROS won't go, we will. DARA has publicly invited Turkey to return to Eurovision — in neighbouring Bulgaria, where the cultural ties run deep and the timing could not be more perfect. Boy George has announced he wants to write the UK's entry for 2027 — and we have a lot of thoughts about that. And Bangaranga? Still conquering the world — number one in Germany for the first time since Euphoria in 2012, top five on Spotify Global, and over 20 million streams in its first week after the Grand Final. New countries, old friends, and one very iconic British pop legend — this one has it all. 🎶🇧🇬 Listen and watch now on all major platforms and join the conversation on social media. New episodes every Wednesday at 8:00 PM CET — glitter and drama guaranteed to beat the midweek blues! 🎉 Music provided by Achilleas Kalantzis / Suncord Audiolab. All rights reserved.

Eurovision 2026 the aftermath - Controversies, comebacks and 2027 | Ep.37

Episode 37 is HERE — and the Eurovision 2026 story is far from over. 🎙️📺🇧🇬 Vienna may be done, but the drama? Absolutely not. This week we dive into everything that has happened since Saturday night — and there is a lot. First — the controversy that has been dominating the post-contest conversation. Videos emerged online of Russian singer Philipp Kirkorov claiming his team was involved in preparing DARA's winning stage production. Everyone directly involved has denied it. But the story is not going away — and we have thoughts. Then — Moldova. The Director General of TRM resigned following a massive public backlash over the Moldovan jury's decision to award only three points to Romania and zero points to Ukraine — while the Moldovan public gave Romania the maximum 12. One of the most striking jury vs televote splits we have ever seen, and it cost someone their job. We also look ahead to Eurovision 2027 in Bulgaria — the host city race is already underway, with Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv and Burgas all in the running. Which city should get it? And the participation news is already flowing. North Macedonia and Luxembourg are confirmed for 2027. Hungary's new Prime Minister has signalled a possible return after six years away. And Belgium's VRT has warned it may not compete unless the EBU holds a direct vote on Israel's participation. Controversies, comebacks, and the first steps toward Bulgaria 2027 — this one has it all.
