Mission Outpost…Why You May Want to Volunteer!

by Eric Elton & Mariel Vinge The Mission Outpost relies on volunteers to provide food, clothes, basic household items, furniture, and dental services to families in the community. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to support this vital ministry. We need volunteers to stock the food shelf, sort donations, pack food orders, field phone calls, enter data and file paperwork, deliver furniture, provide dental care, provide a welcoming environment, support families moving out of poverty, and to develop relationships with families who visit Mission Outpost. We need you - there is a lot to do! Mission Outpost depends on volunteers who are able to commit weekly or occasionally, but we welcome anyone who is interested to join in on the fun. That’s right, fun! We have fun while we work because we serve out of the joy of our hearts. God has blessed us with life, abundantly, which we are glad to share with others in the name of Jesus. Volunteering at the Mission Outpost is one way we can thank God for the life and love we receive in Christ. If you are looking for an opportunity to exercise your faith while making a positive impact on your community, come serve with us! Fair warning - volunteering at Mission Outpost will transform your life! You may become a happier, healthier, more caring person. It’s true – volunteers live longer, healthier lives! Over time, volunteers build strong relationships with each other and find that they belong to a new family. This is a place to connect with others around meaningful work.
