Rooted in Literacy

Welcome to Rooted in Literacy a podcast produced by the Literacy 4 Life community which is comprised of three branches—a student branch, a family branch, and a teacher branch. The mission of Literacy 4 Life is to build a curious, joyful, and inclusive community that is grounded in a love of literacy. The three branches are supported by the interconnectedness of our community, so a variety of podcast formats will be utilized to bend our ever-growing perspectives . • First, join members of the Literacy 4 Life community as they “Learn and Lead though Literacy.” Listen to interviews with members sharing their literate lives including book reviews and chatting with authors. • Next, “Literacy Life Lessons” will offer tips and tricks to build the lifelong habits of a bibliophile, storyteller, author, illustrator, and performer. • Finally, “Literacy Limelight” shines a spotlight on student work and/or new and notable books. Rooted in Literacy—Planting seeds of curiosity. Nurturing a joyful and inclusive community. Growing strong literacy identities. Strengthening knowledge that leads to change.
