Why We Don’t Trust Love (And How to Open to It Again)

Life is a process. You are a process. You are a work in process. A work in progress. What’s progress? What’s the endpoint? There is no beginning. There is no end. I’ve been thinking about happiness. It’s really an interesting word. We take it for granted. “I’m happy.” Certain things make us happy that seem external: dancing, music, experiences, people. But try to zero in on the feeling itself when you feel happy. Often we think happiness requires something outside of us—an external experience. Yet happiness is actually an internal experience. Unfortunately, getting down into that internal experience often requires moving through layers of pain, sadness, and grief. A lot of grief. And then there’s the anger sitting on top of everything, protecting you. When you move through that, you eventually reach something deeper: Love. Maybe that’s what I should talk about. What does that baseline love feel like? It’s the feeling you have when you look at a puppy. If you don’t feel anything when you look at a puppy, you’re probably shutting something down. Puppies were practically created to look at you with those eyes and open your heart automatically. Babies are the same way. The Trust Test Most Women Never Give a Man

How can you find a man who is a giver rather than a taker? A man who is masculine rather than feminine? What do you do if you have a history of being attracted to men who are in their feminine? What Happens When a Man Decides You’re The One

Can I trust you with me? Can I trust you with the real me? I can trust you with the me that can do everything. I’ll take care of everything and you can just be there. And if I can’t trust you some of the time, I’ll just shut down and that’s okay. That’s, I think, the way most of us live. I don’t really trust you. So I’ll just be my ‘10 self’ around you a lot of the time. And when you leave the house, I’ll be my real self. That trust creates emotional intimacy, right? How to Build Trust With a Man Through Feminine Energy

See everything as giving to you, which naturally places you in a position of receiving. Imagine walking around all day receiving from the walls, the rugs, the doors, the food, the refrigerator, the cat, the dog, the man standing in the corner — no matter what he’s doing. The man on the phone or on Zoom — no matter what he’s doing — energetically, you're on the receiving end of everything. Forget about the “magnet” idea for now if that feels like too much. Just focus on this: You are on the receiving end of everything. Like a football receiver. Like a catcher. As soon as you get into that state, you start building trust because you begin to recognize what it feels like. Your whole body softens a little. Anybody feeling that? Even if your mind is racing, it doesn’t matter. Drop down into your belly. Feel your feminine energy expanding. Let your body soften and open. Let yourself fill up.
