Sobre Rotten Mango

Rotten but still a little sweet! Rotten Mango is a true crime + all things spooky podcast. We love doing deep dives into the darkest crimes and we tend to not leave out any details - which can get a little rotten at times. If you want deep dives in the psychology of killers, no holding back storytelling of crimes, and stories of lesser known criminals from around the world this is the place for you. 16 Kids Kept In 12x12 ft Room Covered In Feces - Why Internet Thinks Mom of 16 Kids Is Also a Victim

By 9:45 PM, the aggressively bright fluorescent lights inside a giant Dollar General are enough to give anybody a headache, especially if you’ve been there all day. Ariel would know. She’s worked there for two years, watching most of the town pass through her register.   But one family stood out. They always came in just before closing, carrying a smell of cat urine, their children clinging close, hair hanging over their eyes, never looking up.   The family always bought the same things: a jug of water… and a large bottle of vegetable oil. On June 29, Ariel rang them up like usual. The next day, she saw them on the news.   Sixteen children, crammed into a 12-by-12 room, in what’s now called the Ohio “House of Horrors.” And one question lingers: what were they doing with the vegetable oil?         Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. 13 Year Old Realizes His Twin Brother Is A Killer In The Middle Of Interrogation

A forensic DNA test usually scans about 20 fixed markers of DNA. It may take a few days but it’s enough to differentiate a suspect from the rest of the world with a near perfect level of certainty.   Except for identical twins.   It’s not a perfect analogy but think of DNA as a 3 billion letter book. Most people have about 20 chapters that are completely different. For identical twins, their entire book is identical except for about 8 typos. Not 8 different chapters, or sentences, not even 8 different words. 8 letter typos amongst 3 billion letters.   The technology to find these is only available at a handful of labs and costs hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars. Thankfully, identical twin crime is rare.   Except for Ohio.   A woman who lives alone is raped and murdered in her own home, and the DNA left at the scene traces back to a set of identical twins.   Two 13 year old boys are the main suspects but which twin is innocent? And which twin is guilty?         Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. From “I’m Going to Self-Exit” To “I Hope You Die in a Fucking Accident”: Mackenzie's Manipulation

Mackenzie Shirilla killed two young men.   A lot of people, including the courts believe that a part of Mackenzie’s motive was her longterm, hostile relationship with Dominic that he, supposedly, wanted out of.   Mackenzie and her parents deny any intent at all. They go so far as to allege that Mackenzie and Dominic’s relationship wasn’t perfect but it also wasn’t that bad.   We will be chronologically recounting their fights throughout the years and leading up to the murders.   30k pages of texts between Mackenzie and Dominic from 2020 to July 2022.   Years of texts messages between a killer and one of her victims? Years of texts messages between two teenagers that ended in tragedy? Or a little bit of both?   Davion Flanagan Memorial Scholarship Fund [https://gofund.me/48fe8150d] Change the Game for Dom Foundation [https://gofund.me/2660fee0f] Petition · "Dom and Davion's Law" - Victims Before Influencers: Modernize Son of Sam Laws - United States · Change.org [https://www.change.org/p/dom-and-davion-s-law-victims-before-influencers-modernize-son-of-sam-laws]       Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
