Acerca de Seoul-ful Sisters

Every week, I share stories from remarkable women whose journeys offer motivation, relatability, and practical insight—whether you’re a high school senior like me, a graduate student finding your path, or a seasoned professional. Through live interviews conducted in English, Korean, and even French, I strive to capture candid, personal, humorous, and deeply engaging conversations. You’ll hear experiences you may never have imagined: the hard truths of being a female venture capitalist, the behind-the-scenes realities of launching a French-Korean fusion restaurant, and actionable advice on balancing a demanding legal career with motherhood. From business, law, cinema, perfumery, and fashion to writing and beyond, Seoulful Sisters is here to satisfy your curiosity about how today’s emerging female leaders are changing the world—one bold step at a time.

Ep 34: Being A Supermom

Welcome back to this week's episode! We're joined by Olivia Ih, calling in all the way from Paris. Olivia is the definition of a supermom: she's MC'd at renowned global events, taught French to Korean diplomats, raised three children, and competes at a near-professional level in golf, all while carrying herself with warmth and an infectious brightness that comes through in every word. In this episode, we explore the power of language learning, the value of cross-cultural curiosity, and what it really means to keep an open mind. For Olivia, that openness isn't just a personality trait; it's the very thing she credits for her success and her happiness. Whether you're a fellow multitasker wondering how to find balance, or simply someone who admires people who live boldly and fully, this conversation has something for you. We also make room for the lighter things — the quirks of French kissing culture, the comfort of a home-cooked meal, and the small joys that make a big life feel grounded. Every minute, you'll learn something new. I promise. If this episode floated your boat, come back next week around this time of the week for another episode. Until then, stay positive and stay seoul-ful! Instagram: @seoulfulsisters Contact: yuraclaire@icloud.com

Ep 33: On Brands, Balance, and Being

had the privilege of sitting down with designer, artist, creative director, CEO—and the many other roles she seamlessly takes on—Kelita Choi, founder of Kelita & Co., one of Korea’s most renowned branding studios. I’ve never heard anyone explain brands and branding quite the way she does. Like people, she says, brands are born—but they also grow, evolve, wither, and renew. The role of a branding company is to capture the essence of a brand and protect it through all the changes it is bound to experience, preserving the identity at its very core. Beyond her dedication to creating meaningful logos and visual identities, Kelita is deeply passionate about gardening, paper, travel, and artistic immersion in all its forms. One of my favorite insights from our conversation was her philosophy that life should be lived like a sandwich: first, tackle the parts you may not enjoy (think the lettuce and tomatoes), but always leave room for the parts you love (the ham and cheese). Without that balance, she believes, burnout is inevitable—and life becomes unsustainable. I could say so much more about this conversation, but I’ll leave the rest for you to discover. Stay for the full 40 minutes—yes, our longest episode yet—because every minute is worth it. Join me again next week for another special guest! Until then, stay positive, and stay “soul” (Seoul)-ful:)! Instagram: seoulfulsisters Contact: yuraclaire@icloud.com [yuraclaire@icloud.com]

Ep 31: Plus 8, Plus Community

Welcome back to Episode 32! This week I sat down with Haelim Jun, founder of Plus 8, for one of those conversations that goes everywhere — in the best way. We kick things off with the origin story of Plus 8: what it is, why she built it, and the community of women she had in mind from the very beginning. Then we get into the personal stuff — the growth, the hard lessons, the moments that shifted her perspective in ways she didn't see coming. Haelim is the kind of person who says the quiet part out loud, and this conversation is full of those moments. And yes, we absolutely go off on a few tangents (Korean gomtang featured)! Come for the business insight, stay for the real talk, and leave feeling inspired and connected:) Stay tuned for next week's episode! Ep 30: Power of Listening

Welcome to Episode 30—and happy Easter to those who celebrate! Today’s guest is M&A advisor Yongmin Kwon. Unlike many of my previous guests, Yongmin is based in the Netherlands, while most of her family remains in her hometown of South Korea. As an accomplished, tenacious, and deeply empathetic leader, she has built a meaningful career and life far from home—approaching each day with a commitment to listening to and caring for others, whether they’re her clients or not. I hope this conversation serves as a reminder that professional labels—“lawyer,” “doctor,” “investor”—don’t define the limits of who we are. They shouldn’t prevent us from being fully human: joyful, compassionate, and connected. Yongmin embodies this beautifully. Even in one of the most demanding fields, she leads with calm, openness, and an unwaveringly optimistic mindset. Stay tuned for Episode 31 next week!
