On episode 3 of Stories from the Scene, Music Victoria’s mental health clinician Bree Chapman-Stewart, talks with Glen Benton. Supported with funding from the Victorian State Government, Bree joins our team to provide the Victorian music community with free confidential mental health services and business support. Glen is a person-centred humanistic psychotherapist who has his own lived experience of childhood trauma. Glen has worked across suicide prevention, men’s health as well as working within Aboriginal and First Nations mental health. Glen has played music his whole life across various projects, with his current focus Anavaiix, a project self-empowered by Glen’s spirituality. Glen plays every instrument in the project and all albums are self-produced. This episode is also featured on Bree’s podcast ‘Feelz’ which cleverly brings comedy together with interesting conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
