Ham and Banana Rolls? Man!

So good that we’re having them for Christmas morning breakfast this year! Even the Professor liked them. Visually, they aren’t quite as attractive as you’d hope (gooey banana and gooey cheese look a little off-putting) but they are very tasty and easy to prepare. I plan to go to the deli counter for the thinly sliced ham next time so I can get longer slices that wrap all the way around the bananas... This is a public episode. Fall on the Oregon Coast: Best Time to Visit and Things to Do

Though I’m no fan of losing leaves on the trees and the abrupt slide into winter, there’s just something about Fall on the Oregon Coast that I can’t wait for. Some of the best weather all year long happens then. The foggy days of summer are past and days are warm and nights are crisp. At night, light a fire in the fireplace, settle in to listen, and appreciate the sea doing what the sea does. The hard part about trying to find a place on the Coast that fits my bill is that it’s hard to tell IF I’ll really be able to see and hear the ocean and the tsunami signs in some of the low-lying towns make me nervous. Checked TWO Things Off My It's Not Too Late List This Week

I have a lot of things on my It's Not Too Late List. BBL & HALO laser therapy weren't on the list... until they were. I had an inordinate amount of pre-cancerous cells from sun damage, lots of pigmentation, and rosacea had made a ruddy mess of my face. When my dermatologist, Dr. Lindy Borton of Sun Valley Skin Center in Boise, told me that BBL (broadband light) and HALO (a fractional laser) could help, that got my attention. So far, I'm six days post procedures. Before treatment day I decided to make a video of the experience - one with good lighting and honest feedback - to document it for myself and for anyone considering the same procedures. Bonnie's a Badass

Bonnie Hough is a badass. She's been around the world five times and has visited a country for almost every letter of the alphabet. She's always liked to travel, but she didn't start out that way. Losing people close to her who valued following their passions was a catalyst, she says, and now it's just second nature. Would you believe she traveled to the Great Barrier Reef from the Bay Area on a 4-day trip? Swims in the San Francisco Bay every morning at 7 am, and recently swam in 5 of the Great Lakes in the US? A retired attorney who worked for the State Bar, she loves to visit other countries' Supreme Courts and has an affinity for Frank Lloyd Wright houses (as does her partner Richard). And best of all?
