04 - Roger Crawford Announce - Contesting For Ghana Tennis Federation Presidency

In this episode, Roger Crawford announce he is running for the Ghana Tennis Federation presidential election and discusses his ten points plan to help elevate Ghana Tennis.  The ten (10) points plan is as follows:  1. Invest in Financial instruments for the future 2. Hire Regional Coaches to grow the sport Nationwide 3. Strengthen Regional Associations by providing Equipment and enrolling them in Membership 4. Expand Junior League to all Regions through Regional Associations 5. Upgrade Regional Facilities 6. Facelift of National Tennis Center 7. Introduce GTF Membership at the National Level 8. Renovate Winneba Courts 9. Organize Officiating Officials into United Group 10. NO Per Diem or Travel allowance for President or Vice It's an hour-long and very invigorating.  Enjoy!

03 - Why Are People Poor And What You Can Do About It

Chris Krish (not his real name, is a name he chooses to protect his identity) is my tennis client and a great friend. He is a US Navy Retired Scientist with many inventions to his name. He is also the brain behind the Shield Insekt Repellent products that I manufactured using all-natural essential oils. Every time after his tennis lesson, we will sit down and talk for about 30 minutes to an hour in some cases. One of those sessions, the idea for the Shield Insekt Repellent was born. More about Shield Insekt repellent later.  Today's podcast is about one of those sessions and we talked about why people are poor and what you can do to remove yourself from that predicament, should you find yourself living paycheck to paycheck.  Please let me know what you think about this episode and also what you will like for us to discuss in our next session. 02 - Interview with the host of the first Ghana Tennis Hall of Fame, Roger Crawford

Roger Crawford is a Ghanaian Tennis player and a tennis coach in the USA with LifeTime Athletics. He is the founder and the president of Tennis Foundation Ghana. He has been working really hard raising funds and awareness to Ghana tennis. He recently travelled to Ghana to host the first ever Ghana Tennis Hall of Fame event, in which about 30 former Ghana Tennis Players were inducted into the Hall of Fame. He is doing a magnificent job and is worthy of praise. Roger, I salute you on what you are doing. We need more people like you to help bring Ghana Tennis to prominence.

01 - How To Increase The Overall Youth Participation In Tennis Today And Future In The U.S.A.

So, about 4 months ago, one of the coaches that helped me with my tennis program at McLean, Miguel Lopez called me with the question above and 3 others. He was working on his Master’s Thesis in Sports Science and thought about me when he was faced with answering these questions in his final paper. I was driving at that time and had my bluetooth on so I was able to answer the questions without having to reschedule the phone call. Here are the questions and my answers are in the podcast: Miguel: From your experience, what are the contributing factors to the decline of tennis participation in the U.S.? Miguel: From a player development standpoint, how is the U.S. failing at developing the next big American tennis champion, and how will the participation of tennis be affected if big American tennis champion is developed? Miguel: From your experience, how do you get kids to play tennis and continue to play? Miguel: In your opinion, are there any other factors or suggestions that would increase the overall youth participation and future play? What can be done to grow American tennis?
