The Haven Within is a cozy, honest space for healing conversations that bring you back home to yourself. Hosted by a licensed massage therapist, energy worker, and space holder, this podcast explores what it really means to care for your nervous system in the middle of real life. Pour some tea, take a breath and remember: healing isn't linear, rest is allowed, and your body has always been a Haven.

Cracks in the Conversation

Welcome to the first episode of our new mini-series from inside the adjustment room. In this cozy and candid conversation, I’m joined by my chiropractor as we dive into one of the biggest misconceptions surrounding chiropractic care: what people think chiropractic actually is versus what it truly can be. While I’m getting adjusted in real time, we talk through the fears, myths, misunderstandings, and assumptions people often carry about chiropractic work — and why so many people are surprised once they finally experience it for themselves. This episode is all about curiosity, education, and opening the door to a different way of viewing healing and body care. So settle into the Hobbit Hole with us as we begin this new series one crack, pop, and conversation at a time.

Planting Seeds in the Haven

After a few heavier weeks in the Hobbit Hole — conversations around boundaries, burnout, hard days, and the reality of holding space for others while learning to hold ourselves together — this week’s episode shifts into something softer, hopeful, and deeply exciting. In Planting Seeds in the Haven, I’m opening the door to what’s next. We talk about the big move happening June 1st, the vision that’s been quietly growing behind the scenes, and the future of Magnolia Massage Haven and Energy Work. This episode is all about expansion — not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and within the community we’re building together. We dive into the dream of creating a true wellness center: a space where healing is approached as a whole-body experience through massage therapy, yoga, meditation, reiki, sound baths, workshops, and functional movement training. A place where people feel supported not only when they’re hurting, but also while they’re growing. These are the first seeds being planted for something much bigger than a massage room. This is the beginning of a haven built with intention, community, and care at the center of it all. So grab your tea, settle into your favorite cozy corner, and join me in the Hobbit Hole for a conversation about growth, dreams, and the beautiful — and sometimes terrifying — process of building something meaningful from the ground up.

Storms in The Haven: Holding Space While Falling Apart

Last week, we stepped into the importance of boundaries—what they look like in my practice, the policies I’ve put in place to protect both myself and my clients, and why those structures matter more than we sometimes realize. Boundaries aren’t about building walls; they’re about creating a safe, sustainable space where real healing can happen for everyone involved. This week, we’re going a layer deeper. In this episode, Holding Space While Falling Apart, I’m opening up about the reality of showing up for others on the days when I’m not at my best. The days when life feels heavy, emotions are close to the surface, and the idea of “holding it all together” feels nearly impossible. We talk about what it means to work with clients in those moments—when the mask slips, when authenticity takes the lead, and when being human becomes part of the healing process. Because the truth is, I’m not always perfectly grounded—and maybe I’m not meant to be. There’s something powerful about allowing clients to witness the real, unfiltered version of me (within safe and appropriate boundaries), and trusting that the space we’ve built together can hold both of us. This episode is raw, honest, and a reminder that healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. And sometimes, presence looks like taking a breath, finding your footing again, and letting yourself be seen in the middle of it all.

The Haven Chronicles: You Shall Not Pass (Gently)

Last week, we opened the door to a harder, often unspoken conversation about the darker side of the massage industry. If you joined me for that episode, you know just how important it is to bring those realities into the light. This week, we’re continuing that conversation—but shifting into empowerment. We’re diving deeper into boundaries: what they look like in practice, why they matter so much, and how I actively uphold them within my business. I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the policies I’ve put in place to protect my energy, my safety, and the integrity of the work I do. These aren’t just rules—they’re the foundation that allows me to show up fully, grounded, and able to hold space for my clients in a healthy, sustainable way. Whether you’re a fellow therapist, a client, or someone navigating your own boundaries in life, this episode is an invitation to reflect on what it means to honor yourself while still showing up with care and compassion. Thank you for being here, for listening, and for being part of these real, meaningful conversations.

By Firelight We Tell the Truth: Soft Hands and Harder Truths

Last week, we kept things light and real with a day in the life of a solo massage therapist—what it looks like behind the scenes, the flow of sessions, and the heart that goes into the work. This week, we’re shifting into something heavier—but incredibly important. Trigger Warning: This episode includes discussion of sexual assault, inappropriate client behavior, and experiences that may be upsetting or triggering to some listeners. Please take care of yourself and listen at your own pace. In this episode, I’m opening up about the darker side of the massage industry—the parts that don’t get talked about enough. We’re diving into the uncomfortable realities that some therapists face, the harmful expectations certain clients bring into the room, and why boundaries, safety, and respect are non-negotiable in this work. This is an honest, unfiltered conversation meant to bring awareness, support fellow therapists, and help create a deeper understanding of what it truly means to hold space in a profession that is so often misunderstood. As always, I’m so glad you’re here. Take what resonates, and take care of yourself as you listen.
