Episode 3 - Story of Kambo, Amazonian sacred frog medicine

Arnaud, founder of Aroiris Community, discusses different aspects of the jungle medicine called Kambo. Who this medicine helps, who are not suitable, areas where research is available, the chillest amphibian in Amazon and a lot more.. Kambo is an ancient medicine derived from secretions of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, traditionally used by Amazonian tribes like the Matses and Kaxinawá The secretion contains bioactive peptides that boost immunity, cleanse toxins, kill cancer cells, and provide pain relief. Practitioners have observed improvements in conditions including asthma, depression, addiction, arthritis, and insomnia. The experience involves applying the medicine to small burns on the skin after drinking large amounts of liquid. Effects are intense but brief (5-10 minutes), including increased heart rate, swelling, nausea, vomiting, and purging. While unpleasant, many return for additional sessions due to the profound benefits. Kambo shows remarkable results in addiction treatment, helping people develop aversion to substances and recover rapidly from relapses. It's also valued as preparation for other plant medicines like ayahuasca, providing deep cleansing that enhances subsequent experiences. Phylloland Amphibian Project – Fundraising Campaign

During my visit to Perú, I met passionate herpetologists working to establish an amphibian research and conservation centre in Phylloland, San Martin. Inspired by their mission, I'm supporting their Kickstarter campaign, which aims to develop breeding habitats, research spaces, conduct reforestation, and create educational tours. Phylloland, named after the Phyllomedusa Tree frog genus, is a biodiverse area hosting numerous phyllomedusa species. About Héctor De Burgos Fonseca Hector is a passionate environmentalist who has traveled extensively, particularly to the Peruvian Amazon's Iquitos region. His firsthand experiences with environmental destruction in this biodiverse area have deeply influenced his conservation efforts. An aspiring writer with one published book and another in progress, Hector is now collaborating with the Phylloland team on a conservation project in Tarapoto, driven by his lifelong commitment to protecting the planet. Episode 1 – Healing with breath with Sam Kabert

In this podcast episode I ask Sam Kabert to talk about his life transition from a success driven entrepreneur to someone finding a deeper purpose in life. Integrating lessons and learnings from various holistic practices like yoga, breathwork and plant medicine. And then also distilling lessons from that life transition to a more rational business world. He also prepared various practices and frameworks that people go through to map out their inner – mental and emotion headspace and make strategies for becoming more soulful. New Terminologies – This podcast discusses certain topics that are not common words. Breathwork, Earth-based medicines, plant medicines, Ayahuwasca, concept of medicine ceremonies etc. This is something common for people that are in spiritual circles in Americas(North to South), parts of EU, Australia and NZ. I will be going in more details about some of those topics in the future episodes. I also find that modern media sites don't do a good justice in explaining these topics or lack the proper experience and preparation to talk about it.
