Acerca de The Rite of Passion Podcast

No matter where people find themselves in life, everyone is passionate about something. Whether that is their career, a hobby, or even just an idea. That passion has lead them to where they are today, or where they are going. This show is dedicated to exploring those passions and discovering what motivates people. Along the way we will explore how it started, challenges they may have faced, and even what helped them along the way. I hope this show allows you to identify your own passion, and use the conversations to grow that passion even further. Welcome to the show.

Just for Laughs: Jared Campbell - Guilty pleasures, pet peeves, and Jared's connection to "Tiger King"

Welcome back to another episode of the Rite of Passion Podcast. It's been awhile since I've released my last episode, but that's life, right?  Either way, I'm very excited to be introducing you to a great friend, Jared Campbell. Jared is from Wynnewood, Oklahoma and graduated from East Central University. Jared and I knew it was only a matter of time until he joined me on the podcast. The only question was, what type of episode were we going to do? Serious, or relaxed and fun? Well, we went for option two.  On another segment of Just for Laughs, Jared and I go back and forth asking each other questions and having brief conversations about each topic. We discuss our guilty pleasures, pet peeves, and much, much more. This is a great episode for a long drive, or when you're looking to have a laugh or two. Jared and I certainly enjoyed this episode, and I hope you do too. If you enjoy this episode please consider leaving me a review and a rating so others might find the show as well! Additionally, I encourage you to go back and listen to my previous episodes as well. You can connect with me on Instagram @riteofpassion and let me know your thoughts on the show, or tell me what you want to hear next. Without further ado, please enjoy my conversation with Jared Campbell.

Always Learning: The importance of building relationships and not being afraid to ask - Kyle Pane

Today I sat down with my good friend Kyle Pane. Kyle graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a degree in Finance and a minor in political science. During his time in school he was involved in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the investment club, and student government. Kyle aspires to work as a talent agent, and he understands the importance of building trust, loyalty, and a personal relationship with his clients. During our conversation, Kyle and I discuss the importance of building personal relationships, as well as the pursuit of learning. Kyle and I both enjoy the art of learning, whether that's through books, podcasts, or our conversations with others.  If you enjoy today's episode, consider leaving me a review and a rating so others may enjoy it too! What I'm Reading: How to Win Friends and Influence People

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of the Rite of Passion Podcast. I am bring to you the second segment of "What I'm Reading". I want to share with you a book that I have read multiple times over the last two years, and the only negative thing I can say is I wish I would have read it sooner. The book for today is "How to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. The book is described as a guidebook for the simple and life-changing concepts such as: a simple way to make a good first impression, how to criticize other people, an easy way to become a good conversationalist, what to do when nothing else works, making people glad to do what you want, and more. Personally, this book has made me a more confident conversationalist, helped me learn how to make a great first impression, and how to be a respected and impactful leader. I hope the key ideas in this book resonate with you, and who knows, this book may be added to your own list! If you enjoy today's episode I encourage you to go listen to my previous episodes as well! Additionally, please consider leaving me a review and a 5-star rating so others may find the show as well. If you are enjoying the show as a whole please share it with your friends, or let me know your thoughts by connecting with me on instagram @riteofpassion [https://www.instagram.com/riteofpassion/], or, leaving me a voice message [https://anchor.fm/riteofpassion/message].  Thanks for tuning in!

What Makes a Good Leader? A discussion of leadership theories and the questions we can ask ourselves every day - Kyle Cobb

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with Kyle, and I am excited to share it with you all. Kyle will soon be graduating from the University of West Georgia with a double major in marketing and management. Upon graduation he will be working as a graduate assistant for the Richards College of Business in the economic department. During his undergraduate career Kyle had the opportunity to study leadership theory, and even develop a theory of his own. Our conversation revolved around what makes a good leader, and how we can apply these theories and ideas into our own lives. We also discussed the concept of "learning" and how you don't need to be a good academic to be a good learner.  Kyle is a great friend of mine, and I know you all will enjoy this conversation as much as I did. If you enjoyed today's episode, please consider leaving me a review and a 5-star rating so others may find the show as well. Additionally, you can connect with me on Instagram @riteofpassion [https://www.instagram.com/riteofpassion/] to stay up to date on all my newest episodes and my latest guests.  Please, enjoy the episode and my conversation with Kyle Cobb.
