Acerca de The Silver Mind Podcast

Welcome to the Silver Mind Podcast, where we unearth priceless wisdom from our silver-haired elders. In a generation hyper-focused on shiny new things and youthful influencers, we often neglect the troves of timeless wisdom just waiting to be mined with the right questions from those who have already walked the path before us. By unraveling the captivating stories, invaluable life lessons, and enduring insights of those who have weathered the storms of life, we'll add them to our list of mentors, profit from their hard-won perspectives, and enable ourselves to finally stop reinventing the wheel. Let's get after it!

Her story starts in Utah where she spent most of her life and would later take her to Colorado.  Here are the lyrics to the Billy Joel song she quotes later on in the episode, Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel): Goodnight, my angel Time to close your eyes And save these questions for another day I think I know what You've been asking me I think you know What I've been trying to say I promised I would never leave you And you should always know Wherever you may go No matter where you are I never will be far away Goodnight, my angel Now it's time to sleep And still so many things I want to say Remember all the songs You sang for me When we went sailing On an emerald bay And like a boat out on the ocean I'm rocking you to sleep The water's dark And deep inside this ancient heart You'll always be a part of me Goodnight, my angel Now it's time to dream And dream how wonderful Your life will be Someday, your child may cry And if you sing this lullaby Then in your heart There will always be a part of me Someday, we'll all be gone But lullabies go on and on They never die That's how you And I will be If you have a relative or mentor over the age of 70 that you feel would have valuable perspectives for all of us, please submit their name and contact information in the link below, and we'll work to get them on the show! https://forms.gle/VMTVuwLPZpxDVC1SA [https://forms.gle/VMTVuwLPZpxDVC1SA]
