One Story One Year - December 8, 2024

Pastor Christy continues in Revelation taking on Chapter 20. Life isn't always fair and in that we ask "how long, o Lord?" During the second week of advent we are reminded of Jesus first coming and long for his return. We have hope because Jesus is king, and because of that we can have the courage to share our faith, be more optimistic than pessimistic, resist putting our hope in earthly powers, live as citizens of God's coming Kingdom right now, and trust that this too shall pass. - QUESTIONS TO DISCUSS: QUESTION 1: Does understanding the historical context of Revelation change the way you look at it? Hey friends, I apologize for the delay in episode uploads, we’ve been working through some technical issues, but we are now back and hoping to finish out this year strong. Today we jump into the book of Revelation and we pick up about halfway through at chapter 12. It’s no easy task to preach through revelation in three short weeks, but we’ve tried our best. So in this sermon, there will be quite a bit of history as to how revelation can be viewed. We spent a large majority of our time after the recording ended in great discussion over what chapter 12 meant enjoy. - QUESTIONS TO DISCUSS: 1.
