Episode Two: Interactive Computer Training (Featuring Thomas Higbee)

In the second episode of the UtABA Podcast, we outline some resources provided by UtABA, next, a review of two recent articles published within the state of Utah are provided (citations may be found below), and some current graduate student research is also highlighted. Finally, the episode ends with a chat involving Dr. Thomas Higbee from Utah State University. Dr. Thomas Higbee is the current Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling Department Head, and interactive computer training is one current line of research that is being built upon within his lab. As such, in this episode we discuss the following: Dr. Thomas Higbee's involvement in the state and with Utah State University, a description of what interactive computer training is, the potential benefits within interactive computer training, the current state of interactive computer training research, and some exciting future directions for interactive computer training research! In the first episode of the UtABA Podcast, we outline the goal of the podcast as posed by UtABA, and the hopeful gap that this podcast will fill for practitioners within the state of Utah. First, the format and frequency of the podcast is outlined. Next, a review of two recent articles published within the state of Utah are provided (citations may be found below), and a recent graduate's research is also highlighted. Finally, the episode ends with a chat involving Dr. Aaron Fischer from the University of Utah. Dr. Aaron Fischer has spent his seven years as a faculty member at the University of Utah focused on the intersection of technology and behavior. As such, in this episode we discuss the following: Dr. Aaron Fischers involvement in UtABA, a description of telehealth, technological and practical advice related to the implementation of telehealth, engaging in appropriate communication with caregivers through telehealth, ensuring adequate services through telehealth, making effective data-based decisions through telehealth, evaluating outcomes in-comparison to service as usual, boundaries of applicability for telehealth, suggested activities to build competency in telehealth, and future directions for telehealth. Me suscribi con los 14 días de prueba para escuchar el Podcast de Misterios Cotidianos, pero al final me quedo mas tiempo porque hacia tiempo que no me reía tanto. Tiene Podcast muy buenos y la aplicación funciona bien.
