Youth Voice Podcast

Hello! Welcome to the first episode of our podcast Youth Voice! We are a group of teens that aim to be heard in the political and social world. While teenagers don’t have a voice in terms of our vote, we are the future, and it is especially important that you listen to us. The work that lawmakers do everyday affects us just as much as anyone else, and while we don’t have ballots to cast, thanks to social media, it’s easy to share our opinions. To adults I say: listen to us, because we are the future of our country. And let your children develop their own opinions, irrespective of yours, especially in the polarized world we live in today. To my fellow teenagers I say: take time to educate yourself. Whether it’s listening to this podcast, reading the news, watching, or even partaking in a debate. No matter what anyone says, we’re not too young to begin informing ourselves about politics. Soon enough we will have the right to cast an educated ballot and participate in this great democracy.
