He began his career in the classroom and on the field, teaching biological science, health, and physical educationwhile coaching football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse. He later spent 16 years in school leadership, working side by side with teachers to help students develop a love of learning that lasts well beyond their school years. Today, Bill is especially passionate about supportingteachers—because when teachers are supported, students thrive. He believes The Daily Mile is a simple yet powerful tool that not only builds healthy physical habits but also strengthens social, emotional, and mental well-being while improving academic outcomes. Passionate about kids and committed to empowering educators, Bill is excited to help schools everywhere implement this free, inclusive, and effective initiative.
