6 Weeks Without Scrolling — Episode 6: Parents, Children, and Screens

In this episode, recorded on day thirty-nine without scrolling or TV, I explore a question that has become increasingly important to me as a parent: Why do we say we turn to TV or scrolling in order to disconnect, while with our children we say we want to connect? And if we look at the triangle that forms between parents, children, and screens, another question naturally arises:when we watch a movie together with our children, are we truly connecting — or are we disconnecting together? Drawing from my own experience over the past weeks, I reflect on how stepping away from TV and scrolling has reshaped my relationship with my son, Daivek. Without screens as our main source of relaxation, playtime, presence, and genuine quality time increased significantly. This episode is not about banning screens or rejecting technology. It’s about discernment. Perhaps TV and scrolling should be approached in the same way nutritionists recommend approaching cakes made with refined sugar and preservatives — something consumed rarely, not daily — because of their impact on our mental and emotional health. This is an invitation to reflect on connection, presence, and the choices we make inside family life. This is a public episode. 6 Weeks Without Scrolling — Episode 5: Purpose, Alignment, and What Remains After a Month

In this episode, recorded on day thirty-one without scrolling or TV, I reflect on what truly changes after a month of conscious disengagement from social media. I share how dependency weakens with time, why traces of attachment can still remain, and how this journey has revealed something deeper than habit — the question of purpose. Drawing from the teachings of His Holiness Guru Bodhisatvan Madhavacharyan, this episode explores how alignment with an inner purpose naturally reshapes our actions, our relationship with time, and our tendency to procrastinate. This is not about rules or restriction, but about clarity, alignment, and conscious choice. This is a public episode. 6 Weeks Without Scrolling — Episode 4: My Story of Addiction

In this episode, I share a very personal story about addiction — and how easy it is to believe we are in control, until something challenges that belief. I speak about my ten-year relationship with smoking, the moment I realised I was addicted, and how awareness, environment, and conscious practice helped me quit. This episode is not about judgement or blame. It’s about recognising the subtle ways the mind protects its habits — and how real change often begins only when a clear boundary or a healthier environment reveals the truth. This is a public episode. 6 Weeks Without Scrolling — Episode 3: My Journey with TV and Scrolling

In this episode, I share my personal journey with TV — from childhood and family habits, to adolescence, adulthood, and the subtle ways television and later streaming became a form of avoidance. I reflect on how our early environment shapes our relationship with media, why TV once felt like freedom, and how, over time, it began to disconnect me from responsibility, growth, and conscious living. This episode is not about blaming the past or rejecting technology. It’s about awareness, discernment, and the importance of keeping the inner environment clean — especially for ourselves and for our children. This is a public episode. 6 Weeks Without Scrolling — Episode 2: What Stays and What Goes

In this episode, I clarify what stays and what goes during these six weeks without scrolling. I share a personal moment that helped me understand why scrolling can feel deeply relaxing and connecting — and at the same time dangerously consuming. I speak about time, belonging, micro-scrolling, and the subtle ways social media pulls us out of conscious choice. This episode is not about rejecting technology, but about setting clear boundaries so that we remain in control of our time and attention. This is a public episode. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
