You are always becoming—life is always changing, growing and adapting into something new. Look at creation for example, it’s continually blooming, changing or shedding something. Nature never quits and neither do we. It rests for a time but it’s always birthing something new, in and out of seasons. This podcast is for the woman who is becoming—the one in the quiet spaces, the mundane, and busyness of life, aching for more of God.

episode Dwell in the Goodness of God cover

Dwell in the Goodness of God

Welcome back! Today we are doing a deep dive into the scripture with a specific focus in Psalm 25:13 that says, "Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in in the way Hechooses. He will dwell in prosperity and his descendants shall inherit the land." What does dwell actually mean and what does dwelling in prosperity really look like? Sarah unpacks the root words in the Hebrew and Greek to help bring clarity to what scripture is revealing to us in real time and how we can apply it to our lives today in a practical way. Listen in as we talk further about life's struggles and the hardships we all face while learning to gain a posture of well being and goodness in the face of difficult circumstances. Gain tools to enlarge your capacity over time and exercise your resilience muscle so that you can thrive in the plans and purposes God has for you in this life today, while we aim for the life to come, our ultimate destination--heaven. Be blessed. And again, thanks for being here.

episode Stop Surviving. Start Stewarding. cover

Stop Surviving. Start Stewarding.

I am not a victim of my life. I am a steward of it. So much of our suffering comes from treating life like a scoreboard. If I work hard, or pray the right prayer--then I will feel better, get more, or be happier. And when reality doesn’t meet that demand? Frustration and negativity spiral. Instead, we need to let presence—not results—be our anchor. I don’t need to fix the day. I don’t even need it to give me joy. I can simply just experience it. It’s radically freeing because it removes the impossible expectation that life must deliver and I can simply find presence alone. Today's episode is all about learning how to get your agency back. To quit being surprised that life is hard and for it to owe you something in return. To show up to your day to day, walking around life, and choose it over and over again, with your whole self. To not be sabotoged by setbacks and to keep showing up like the spirtual grown up that you are. To quit demanding that life makes sense or to even satisfy you. Life isnt the main course. Its the appetizer and it points to Jesus and our heavenly home. Let's learn to live from there, bringing Heaven to Earth and His kingdom come, His will be done. Not yours and not mine. Amen? Again , thanks for being here. I am so glad.

episode Pit, Purpose + Redemption Part 2 cover

Pit, Purpose + Redemption Part 2

Welcome back to the podcast--today we are piggy backing off of my last episode, Pit, Purpose + Redemption and this is PART TWO! So if you missed it, take a look back and have a listen to catch you up with this weeks episodes where we continue to discuss that not every pitfall we experience is discipline. But every pitfall can become discipleship. Sarah gives practical tools on what to do when you feel stuck, how to rewrite the narrative you may have been speaking over yourself, nervous system resets, body regulation tools, and bringing your body back to felt safety by consciously returning to the presence of God and learning to abide in Him vs. just visiting from time to time. Daily life with littles and care taking can be overwhelming. But with some practical tools and Biblical scripture as the guiding tool, you can bring yourself back to felt safety and regulation. Therefore becoming a more whole, well regulated child of God and granting yourself grace to move from "overflow" instead of lack and depletion. Are you in? Let's listen in together. And as always, thanks for being here.

episode Pit, Purpose + Redemption cover

Pit, Purpose + Redemption

Pit, Purpose + Redemption:  When I think about the valleys or the pits in my own life and I think, will they ever end? God will bring his hand of reprieve for a time and its beautiful and I am reminded and even more convinced of His goodness. But why is it that I seem to fall back into these pitiful places time and time again? The purpose of this episode is to shed light on God's redemptive goodness and the operational power of grace to pull you up and out of the difficult places and seasons that life so often deals. In this episode, we will discover the PURPOSE of the pit as spiritual + formational. Biblically, the pit is always a place where God -Reorients someone -Reveals something -Refines something -Rebuilds someone -Reframes identity -Resets direction-Removes false dependencies -Roots someone deeper  At the end of the day, God is forming something in each of us that comfort never could. And when you are in the dark, God is forming you. The pit is a place—not a verdict. The pit is not a label, an identity , a punishment, areport card a spiritual diagnosis, or a sign of immaturity  or evidence of weakness. Its simply the place where humanity meets God;s mercy. And that’s always messy. Always raw. Always holy. Thanks for being here.

episode What is Faith? cover

What is Faith?

What is Faith? Faith isn’t having every step mapped out or being certain of the outcome—its choosing to step anyway. It’s the surrender of, “I don’t know what I am doing” paired with the courage of , “But I am showing up anyway. ” That kind of trust requires humility (acknowledging your limits) and boldness (acting despite of them). I really think God delights in that posture. Scripture often shows Him responding to people who moved forward imperfectly but faithfully—Abraham setting out “not knowing where he was going.” Peter stepping out of the boat onto the water, and the disciples stumbling but still following. None of them have a polished plan. What they had was trust. Is God in it? I don’t know but if you wait til you feel confident you will wait your whole life. Do it afraid, do it when you don’t feel ready or prepared. If you feelfull qualified, comfortable and in control, you might be in the wrongcalling—God usually calls the unready, not the overprepared. I hope this episodes brings courage to you today as you learn to step out and take risk in the things He is leading you in today.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
