Nathaniel Harding is Managing Partner of Cortado Ventures, an Oklahoma City based early stage venture capital firm investing in growth-driven technology companies. He is an Air Force Veteran and a successfully exited founder. Nathaniel was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, and a Most Admired CEO in Oklahoma by the Journal Record. Previously, he and his partner developed a midcontinent resource play which they sold for $120M. His broad areas of expertise include operational strategy, financial modeling, statistical analysis, leveraging big data, connecting science with commercial strategy and energy. On this episode, we talk with Dr. Walker about her article on the role of accounting educators in the problem and solution of the accounting/CPA pipeline problem. We discuss what accounting teaching and assessment methods best suit the preferences of accounting students and if accounting instructors can attract students into the major and keep them engaged so students could be more likely to choose to work as accountants.
