Part 2 of my conversation with Rachel Jacob. In the second part of our conversation, Rachel and I talk about screenwriting and being being authentic  Rachel talks about using her life experiences and emotional states as a foundation for her stories. Rachel and I continue as we talk about how we write from each character’s point of view versus another character’s point of view about a character or even that of the audience’s perceived view of the character. We discuss how detailed actions lines should be and why we should paint a picture with words. We conclude this portion of our conversation talking about the “page a minute” idea of screenwriting. Part 1 of my conversation with Rachel Jacob.  In the first part of our conversation, Rachel talks about her background as an actor in both theatre and film and how she takes concepts she learned as a theatre actor and applied them to film acting. Rachel also talks about how she got started in the film industry being thrusted into an 2 Assistant Camera position. Rachel continues to take us on her beginning filmmaker journey as she switched to the AD department as a Production Assistant and how it paved the way to where she is now.
