Now hear what we really think.Ever wonder what it’s like on the other side of the headset? This podcast pulls back the curtain with unfiltered stories, real talk, and more sarcasm than sense. Hosted by a seasoned dispatcher who’s heard it all… well, almost all of it. You’ll get the chaos, the misunderstandings, and the emotional toll, served with no sugarcoating. We talk about the job, the people who call, the ones who don’t, and the mental health strain that comes with holding it all together. If you’ve ever worked in public safety or just wondered what goes on behind the scenes, this show breaks it down without the BS.

Episode 7: "Public Trust Under Fire"

Public trust in 911 and public safety took multiple hits this week. In Nashville, a dispatcher was suspended after glorifying the assassination of Charlie Kirk on social media. In Grand Prairie, a 911 error sent officers to the wrong house, leading to a man being shot and raising serious questions about accountability and optics. And in Azle, a firefighter was placed on leave after a viral video showed him abusing a dog. But this week wasn’t only about scandal. Congress is again debating federal recognition for dispatchers and while the legislation has momentum, I explain why my optimism is guarded. We’ve been here before with the SAVES Act, and NENA hasn’t done enough to educate dispatchers about how reclassification really benefits those behind the console. These incidents and the legislation all connect to one theme: public trust. Once it’s lost, we all pay the price.

Episode 6: "The Headset Changes You"

"Real stories, one underused tool you should start using today, and a Quick Keys on words that can make or break your credibility." The headset changes you. Sometimes for the better, sometimes not. In this episode, you’ll hear real dispatchers share how the job has shaped them... good and bad... through listener submissions and answers from the 911 community on Reddit. I also share a quick rant about training classes and why we spend so much time introducing ourselves instead of getting to the material. Finally, I introduce Quick Keys, a new recurring segment with focused, actionable dispatcher training. In this first Quick Keys, we talk about two slang terms that need to disappear from our vocabulary and why replacing them with neutral, professional language matters in court, in open records, and in our credibility.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
