Episode 19 - Ron Plymell

Episode 19 features retired truck driver Ron Plymell.  Ron grew up on a farm outside of Sheldon, MO learning to drive the tractor at age 6, and cultivating corn and beans at the age of 12.   He started driving out of Hays, KS in 1977 and officially retired from driving in 2022, amassing over 6 million miles driving, and going through all the lower 48 states and most of the Canadian provinces and territories.   From experiencing the after effects of the Mount Saint Helens explosion, to driving a rig through Brooklyn, NY with no GPS and only maps, and driving on a truck team for over 5 years with his wife, listen as Ron shares about the truck driving world.  | Content here is for illustrative and educational purposes only. Episode 18 - Carmen Schober

Episode 18 features novelist and essayist Carmen Schober. Carmen earned a master’s degree in English literature from Kansas State and worked as an instructor there before beginning her professional writing career. She published two standalone contemporary Christian romance novels, After She Falls and Pretty Little Pieces, both novels being recognized by esteemed industry leaders. Carmen is now a regular contributor to Evie Magazine and writes to represent the "modern woman seeking beauty, humor, and depth at the same time" by covering current events and conducting exclusive interviews. Episode 17 - Chris Lehecka

Episode 17 features Chris Lehecka, the Director at the Salina YMCA, and one of the Co-Race Directors, as well as one of the founders/creators for the Salina Crossroads Marathon.   The Salina Crossroads Marathon began in 2022 with 800 racers - that number growing to 3,000 racers in 2023 with participants from all 50 states, having north of a million-dollar economic impact to Salina in that year alone.
