Lily and I went to high school together at Gilmour Academy, we never directly crossed paths during the time but have always watched each other flourish from afar. Lily was the president of Woman in STEM in highschool and always expected herself to be a scientist of some sort. Liz works as a culinary chef, and although the stereotype for woman is to be in the kitchen...the tables turn when there is a paycheck involved. Growing up, I watched many woman in my life have to claw their way through a male dominated work setting. This conversation means a lot to me and a lot of other woman out there who many feel unseen or unheard. Liz cultivates an understanding that we don't need to claw our way, we can redirect.
