Episode 10: Chronic Pain, The Mind and Body of It All Pt. 2

*Light Cursing and Drug References* I failed on the full episode in the month. I was so close! It's all good. It is here now! I will need to pick the next topic and find a new guest. Today we introduce: Ben Fish of Be Inspired with Ben, a life and life style company. He has written an awesome book, "Anywhere but Here; 5 Steps to Going Anywhere and Doing Anything." As two people who live with different types of Chronic Pain we explore and discuss ones own ability to deal with it. Conversational Notes include: Mind over Matter, Limitations of Fitness and Health on Healing, Stories we Tell Ourselves, Acceptance, Types of Pain: Physical; Psychological; Environmental, Treatments and Coping Mechanisms, Expectations, and more. No, we are not doctors. No, we are not saying it's all in your head. Please do not take any one piece of this podcast as medical or scientific advice. Please enjoy this half hour ish of conversation for what it is, thought provoking conversation! Have a suggestion for a podcast episode, a guest, or a theme/topic? Reach out and let us know: sarky1014@gmail.com Where to Find Science Vs: https://gimletmedia.com/shows/science-vs The episode we listened to: "Chronic Pain: Can Our Brains Fix It?" Thank you for listening, please share about us! You can find us on Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts. Philosaraphy is created, written, and produced by Sarah Simmons.

Episode 9: Chronic Pain, the Mind and Body of it All Pt. 1

Here we are, again in a month with a full episode! This of course is Part 1! Please remember, this is a show where each full topic is told in two parts. This is Episode 9: Chroic Pain, the Mind and Body if it All. Essentially we set up the vibe with some information for next weeks discussion. I highly recommend you listen to Part 1, then the episode that inspired it: Science Vs. by Gimlet. This episode was called: "Chronic Pain: Can Our Brains Fix It?" They have a TON of amazing episodes and do really great work. I suggest you check out more after coming back next week and listening to Episode 2 of my Chronic Pain discussion. We will be introducing a NEW guest who is international and wonderful. *Light Cursing* https://gimletmedia.com/shows/science-vs

Episode 8: Why Do We Climb the Hierarchical Ladders? Pt. 2

We bring back our OG guest, Colleen Simmons. You can find this artist - who teaches and takes commissions - @SneakySwirls on Instagram. We discuss at length my Main Question: Should there be a hierarchical bottom to top in all structures/organizations and why does this situational structure happen often in our work places, et. al. ? The podcast that lightining bolted my Main Question was the "Sounds Like a Cult Podcast - The Cult of Stand Up Comedy" Episode. That podcast is brought to you by Hosts: Amamda Montell and Isabela Medina-Mate. Further meanderings include, but are not limited to: Accountability, Capitalism, Corruption, Environmentalism, Government, Patience, Tolerance, Animal Rights, Children’s rights, Education and Parenting Stlyes, Genetic Manipulation, Healthy Competition, Learned Behaviors, and even Universal Design. We come to an agreement that hierarchies though naturally occurring are not necessarily required in all human created things. We even revisit Perception! This episode is PG-13 for References to Child Abuse and Neglect, Light and Surface References also Minor Drug References. https://www.soundslikeacult.com/ Thank you for listening! Please Like/Subscribe/Follow, Leave a Review, and Share - tell someone about us! You can find us on Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts. Philosaraphy is created, written, and produced by Sarah Simmons. Each conversation is dually created when recorded.

Episode 7: Why Do We Climb the Hierarchical Ladders Pt. 1

Here is my stream of consciousness that is kicked off by Amanda Montell and Isabela Medina-Mate through their awesome podcast: "Sounds Like a Cult Podcast." The particular episode in references is: "The Cult of Standup Comedy." I also question the sentient capability of my vehicle. I come to a soft consensus in my podcast mission statement and goals for you, the Philosophizing Audience! I find myself coming to a Main Questino of: Should there be a hierarchical, step by step, governance and pathway in all structures/organizations/indsutries and why does this situational structure happen often in our work places, et. al. ?  Digest these thoughts, check out the other podcast, and then join us here again shortly for my conversation with, (we bring her back!) Colleen Simmons.  https://www.soundslikeacult.com/

episode *UPDATED* Trailer for Philosaraphy cover

*UPDATED* Trailer for Philosaraphy

At Philosaraphy the topics will range because our eclectic podcast taste! We figured arguing, debating, and laughing with ourselves in the car was fun enough to us so  it might be fun for others, too. Who are we to deny more thinking, listening, and communicating! At the very least, I hope to bring new podcasts to your feed and to strengthen your own philosophizing muscles.  The premise is this: we are constantly, like you, listening to podcasts - often in the car. Sometimes a show makes us think so much we have to pause the podcast and speak it out to ourselves to work through it. Yes, we also argue directly with the podcast when it's playing but that'd be harder to record and use. To that point, I did start recording my thoughtful meanderings. I pick a thought provoking question out of those word vomit recordings and bring on a guest to explore the topic more thoroughly. You can find us on Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts.  Information on the Patreon is forthcoming! Philosaraphy is created, written, and produced by Sarah Simmons.

Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
