The Silkmen News Podcast Episode 12: End of Season Review

Matt, Alex, and a Silkmen News Podcast debut for Noah Wakefield as the pod gives all their takes on the end of the season. Play off glory wasn’t to be for Macclesfield in this debut National League North campaign, after high drama against Chester in the quarter final a win against Kidderminster Harriers was a step too far in the semi. Both of those games will be given a good look over, we’ll have reflections across the campaign as a whole, a look back at pre season predictions, and ahead to next season at who John Rooney should be considering to keep to mount another promotion charge with most of the squad out of contract in the summer. James, Alex, and Ben back for the first time in a while and how could we miss this one. Yes, it’s the start of what could be a huge final three games of this debut National League North season as Macclesfield play Chester in the National League North play offs. All the big questions answered here. What have we learnt from our previous league defeats to The Seals this campaign? What approach should John Rooney take for this one? And don’t get us started on Dearnley v Ravenhill in the battle to start in goal. Regardless of the result on Wednesday night there’s plenty to celebrate for the Silkmen this season.
