*The Agile Mind* – Episode 1

Intro Welcome to The Agile Mind, a podcast about managing complexity, making better decisions, and building systems that scale—without breaking. I’m David Bibby, and in this first episode, I want to share the eight habits that reshaped how I work, think, and lead. Main Body I started The Agile Mind because I kept seeing the same patterns—in consulting, due diligence, my own projects, and my personal life. Smart people stuck in loops. Great ideas buried under noise. Too many teams rushing ahead—without direction. So I built a framework. Not a rigid one. Just eight habits that help me—and others—move from friction to momentum. Habit One: Capture While It’s Fresh I write things down before they get clever. Raw notes, half-formed ideas, even frustrations. Because clarity often comes later—and only if I’ve kept the thread. Habit Two: Break It Down to Move Forward Big problems rarely need big solutions. They need to be broken into manageable parts. I simplify until the task stops feeling overwhelming. Habit Three: Timebox the Unknown I don’t wait for perfect clarity. I give myself thirty minutes to explore, sketch, or test—then decide what’s next. Habit Four: Juggle Time Wisely I don’t try to catch everything. Some tasks bounce. Some break. Some ricochet. I choose what to protect—and what to let go. Habit Five: Stake the Vampires Time vampires are real. Meetings, vague requests, endless revisions. I call them out, set boundaries—or eliminate them. Habit Six: Moonwalk Management I’m careful not to kid myself about progress. Meetings, plans, and updates can look busy—but go nowhere. Not all activity means forward motion. Habit Seven: Tools, Not Dogma I use models to think—not to worship. If something doesn’t fit, I adapt it—or toss it. Habit Eight: Review, Don’t Ruminate I make time to look back—briefly. Not to dwell, but to learn. What worked, what didn’t, what’s next. Outro These habits aren’t rules. They’re tools. And over time, they’ve helped me build clarity—in the middle of complexity. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
