Extended Episode: Supporting Men Through Abortions

What arose in me after these experiences was the deep understanding that men are not receiving any form of care or witnessing when moving through the experience of perinatal loss and all the deep layers of untended wounding that occur within their spirits due to the lack of support. In my practice, I am holding this inquiry of how we can better support the men who are the father’s of aborted children and what can be done to offer true repair in these situations. I am also praying that more birth workers take on the responsibility to become death-literate so that both men and women can receive appropriate care and support while moving through the profound death portal of pregnancy release (aka abortion).
