Responding to a participant in my workshop I share what I was just pondering: What is now the core meaning of my life? And how did I get here? (Don't be deterred by the German translation. It gives you a second or two to digest the words you just heard). Als Antwort auf einen Teilnehmer in meinem Workshop erzähle ich, was ich gerade überlegt habe: Was ist jetzt die wesentliche Bedeutung meines Lebens? Und wie bin ich hierher gekommen?

Begin standing, your feel about shoulder-width apart, knees a little bent and for just 2 minutes along with the 'shaking' soundtrack, shake your whole body. Keep your feet rooted to the ground so that you're shaking like a tree in a hurricane! All you are doing is enlivening everything going on in you, especially your feelings. The soundtrack then disappears into silence and Alan briefly reminds you of the way to sit and breathe, as fully described in the 6-minute introductory Part 1. To reap the benefits, it's important to listen to that before you do the practice. Bon voyage!

This short practice, created by Art of Being® founder, Alan Lowen, has one specific purpose: to give you a way to feel good in yourself no matter what is going on in your life right now. All you need is 15 minutes to yourself. When time is of the essence even 10 minutes could be enough, especially once you get used to the practice. It's a great little practice for the days when you're feeling good anyway and it's especially valuable when you're having a rough time for whatever reason. Part 1 is the essential introduction.
