(Ep 213) Brittany Lincicome (2x Major Winner)
It was a pleasure to be joined in this episode by 8x LPGA Tour winner including 2x Major Championships, 6x Solheim Cupper for USA & 2024 Solheim Cup Assistant Captain Brittany Lincicome as she took time to speak from Florida from a busy schedule as we discuss Solheim Cup, her fantastic career and more. Brittany nicknamed 'Bam Bam' is from Saint Petersburg in Florida but resides in Gulfport right next to the water and would take up the game at 9 and has been known for her length off the tee for a long time. She made her professional debut in 2005. In 2006 she would win World Matchplay Championship, 2007 would win Ginn Open, 2011 would see 2 victories at Shoprite LPGA Classic & Canadian Open and in back to back years in 2017 & 2018 would see Brittany win Bahamas Classic. Nothing is in comparison though to winning Kraft Nabisco in 2009 & ANA Inspiration in 2015 both known now as Chevron Championship 1 of the 5 Major titles in Women's Golf! Brittany talks about the impact of winning 2 Major titles and getting the privilege to jump into Poppy's Pond twice! Brittany would also be only the 5th female player to play a PGA Tour event at 2018 Barbasol. Brittany has participated in 21 matches across 6 Solheim Cups for USA and managed 7 Wins, 12 Losses & 2 Halves winning the biennial trophy 4 out 6 times and would also be part of Stacy Lewis' assistance at 2024 Solheim Cup at Robert Trent Jones where USA were victorious! Overall, Brittany has made over 400 LPGA starts, making 315 cuts while winning 8 times & 66 Top 10's in her established career. It was a great chat and I was her all the best in her semi retirement and going forward with opportunities outside of playing! Be sure to download via Podbean, Apple & Spotify, thanks everyone!

In what is a special episode of the podcast released on 26th March it is Purple Day which is Worldwide Epilepsy Awareness Day I was really pleased to be joined by LETAS title winner & 2x Sunshine Ladies Tour winner Jane Turner on what is a really meaningful day for Jane and over 80,000 other Epilepsy sufferers in Scotland alone. We find out what Purple Day is and what it means to Jane while also finding out that a young girl from America who has the same condition is her idol and is competing as a golfer at U10 Under Armour Championships. Inspiring stuff!! Jane is from Penicuik in Midlothian which is not far outside of the main city of Edinburgh and turned professional in 2013 after a successful junior/amateur career including winning British Universities Championship twice, Scottish Ladies Strokeplay Championship, R&A Bursars Ladies & representing Scotland Teams. Plying her trade between LET & LET Access Series as time went on Jane admitted that her Epilepsy caused a major setback in her career. In June 2025 Jane would undergo major brain surgery to successfully remove a brain tumour and is working extremely hard to get back ready to play Professional Golf again to make the start of a comeback story!
