The fifth sin is one that makes everything worse. Greed turns honor into pride, righteous indignation into uncontrolled anger, love into lust, hunger into gluttony, admiration into envy, and leisure into sloth. If we all weren’t so easily tainted by greed, our lives would be a lot better!
The fourth sin is one that is despised and gets a lot of press. Not because it is seen as a sin, but because it is viewed as something that makes people ugly. There is hardly anything worse in our culture than not being appealing; but, is gluttony just a matter of what size waist you have?
Of all the seven deadly sins, lust is the one we want to hide the most. Why? Because lust is the most shameful. When you and I give in to lust, it has a way of crushing our souls, filling us with sadness and regret. Lust is a poison…
