The Phillies are... good again? And the Eagles traded A.J. Brown to New England for a 1st-round pick.

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we start with our reactions to the Sixers' new President of Basketball Operations, Mike Gansey, and Then we talk about the Phillies' recent improvements. They have the second-best record in baseball since they changed managers. What's been different? And finally we go over the A.J. Brown trade. Did the Eagles get enough? And how big of a hit will they take by losing their No. 1 receiver? The Sixers introduced their new basketball exec. How are we feeling? (1:10) Phillies have the 2nd-best record in baseball since changing managers. What are we seeing, and are we still concerned? (9:10) Maybe they weren't really as bad as it looked at the beginning of the season. (15:05) How much of it is (BABIP) luck? The Phillies pitchers were on a historically bad pace with the batting average they were allowing on balls in play. (17:30) Oh yeah, Zack Wheeler replaced Taijuan Walker in the rotation. And Cristopher Sanchez and Jhoan Duran have been lights out. (19:15) Johnny wants to talk about BABIP again. (22:20) Kyle sat down with Phillies pitching coach Caleb Cotham and wrote a great article on Philly Sports Network about how they built this bullpen. How has that played out so far this season? (22:55) Cotham's simple approach to finding good pitchers. (27:00) Johnny's big concern is at the top of the lineup. (30:30) Kyle's big concern is they need any righty to hit. (31:35) The Phillies have the major-league leaders in batting average and home runs, but they still aren't scoring runs!?!? (33:10) Last week was June 1st, so A.J. Brown must've been traded to the Patriots. We break down the cap implications, the trade return and how they'll replace their No. 1 receiver. (37:00)

Flyers Up 3-0, Sixers Back In It, Eagles Take a WR and Phillies Still Struggling

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we catch up with Adnan Virk, the Emmy Award-winning host of Amazon Prime Monday Night Hockey and MLB Tonight, and the best-selling author of the book Cinephile. But more importantly for this conversation, he's a huge Flyers fan who was in the building for Game 3. Then he chimes in on the Eagles drafting a wide receiver and what that means for AJ Brown's future in Philly. Plus the boys look at how much better the rest of the NFC East got after the first round of the Draft. And then we decide if the Phillies or the 76ers changed our minds this week. The Phillies got swept at Wrigley Field to extend their losing streak to 9 straight games, but the Sixers rebounded with a big win in Game 2 and are coming home with the series tied at one game apiece. And lastly, we look back at our favorite game from the podcast which was shortlived, At Least We're Not the Mets. It's Adnan Virk! He was in the building to see the Flyers take a 3-0 lead on the Penguins. (0:45) Philadelphia dominates Pittsburgh again during the NFL Draft, moving up to pick USC wide receiver Makai Lemon. How that impacts AJ Brown and the roster going forward. (19:40) Final thoughts on the Flyers and how fun this has been already. (25:50) Our thoughts on the Eagles adding another wideout and how they ended up with him at No. 20. (27:45) Phillies scored some runs, but not enough to avoid a sweep. How do we feel now that the losing streak has reached 9 straight games? (34:00) We say goodbye to our favorite game, after only getting to play it once. At Least We're Not the Mets lasted one episode. (46:20) The Sixers are back in it! Big win in Game 2 and coming home for Game 3. Are they back in the series or will the Celtics finish them off? (46:55)

Phillies Season Preview: Infield and Catchers

Brothers Johnny and Kyle Fisher were raised on Philly sports and are bringing their smart, passionate, no-nonsense analysis to the podcast world. This is the podcast for all Philly sports fans -- the diehards, the casuals, and everyone in between. In this episode, we preview the infield and catchers. There might not be any new faces at those positions but there's a lot to get into. J.T. Realmuto is back behind the dish. Alec Bohm is a year away from free agency. And Bo Bichette was seemingly a day away from upending the whole group before he signed with the Mets. Plus, the Phillies' No. 1 prospect -- Aidan Miller -- might force his way into this conversation at some point this summer. No new faces in the infield or behind the plate. Is that a good thing? (2:30) J.T. Realmuto returns on a 3-year deal. What will he bring to the table at 35 years old? (3:30) The Phillies almost signed Bo Bichette in the offseason but the Mets snagged him. How would that have impacted the Phillies roster and lineup? (13:30) Shortstop Aidan Miller is the top prospect in the organization. When and where will he see him in the Phillies lineup? (20:00) What are we looking for, and expecting, from Alec Bohm and Bryson Stott? (25:50) We go around the infield and throw out what we're expecting to see from all four starting infielders. (36:20) On the way out we do some surprise trivia about the long-term outlook at certain position. (46:50)
