Lesson 0: Finding your why!

What is your why? Classroom teachers and their instructional skills are one of the greatest predictors of student achievement. Classroom 2C is all about creating the space and discussion for us to all grow into master educators, and to become the classrooms to see.  In this first episode of Classroom 2C, we discuss who we are, what is our why, and challenge you to find your why. The work of a classroom educator is not sustainable without a why that makes you get up in the morning. We want to start with you getting to know ours why and start the discussion around your personal why. Classroom 2C educators need to know their why and share it with others as their first step in becoming the classroom to see.    Classroom 2C is a podcast where we work with you on everything from the pre-work that has to happen before a single scholar steps foot into our classrooms, lesson planning, grading practices, and everything in between.   We want to help you develop into the master educator that you have always wanted to be, and to make your classroom the classroom to see.    We are career middle school educators that have served all our years serving and teaching in public schools. Mr. Dan Covey is an educator of almost 20 years and and assistant principal. Mr. Tony Chancellor is also coming up on the end of his second decade in education and serves as an instructional coach. We have a passion for changing the world through education and we understand that the heart of that is the quality of the teacher and the relationships that they can build with their students. We believe that both of these aspects of teaching can be taught and improved upon. We want you to become the teacher that everyone is wanting to observe because of the amazing things that are happening with your scholars.
