Vanessa found a way to turn every excuse in the book into her drive. She became a mother earlier than most, but from the beginning was determined to do motherhood her way. She refused to be a statistic and would even repeat to herself, “Failure is not an option” when things got hard. She not only finished high school and graduated college, but she went on to become a nurse and an IBCLC, as well as an entrepreneur determined to diversify her income and keep things fun along the way. Her story of determination and grit is a powerful one for all moms listening, including myself.
