I considered everything I used in the months after leaving my abusive relationship, what I use now to operate my work/business, what I currently use on a daily basis (toiletries, underwear, pet supplies) and what I could exchange for money were insurance to not come through or cash was needed fast from a pawn or resell. Welcome + Defining Abuse

Welcome to the i am safe podcast! This is the first episode of our first season (and sort of like the pilot episode of the series where I introduce myself, my story and the intentions for this podcast and hope you like it) and where we cover examples of various types of abuses that one can experience. My intention for this podcast is to keep the vibe real: not overly edited or slick, in my own voice with my own fuck-ups and stumbles (we’re all real people here and I’m just starting out with this process) and connecting with you in a way that feels like we can chillax with our tea, coffee, cucumber water and snacks and be vulnerable while being safe from judgement and harm.   Here's to living a life of much less fear and a lot more safety.
