Our two petitioners to the court are, rhetorically speaking, battling over a ring he gave her. But, ultimately, Judy makes this a case about their kids, and how they should be treated. Judy has some real concerns for how the kids will be raised and the importance of them having a father in their life. Are these concerns valid or is it just another case of Judy sticking her legal nose where it doesn’t belong? You’ll just have to listen to find out. There’s also a lot of back and forth, perhaps too much in fact, about if the kids eat dinner or not, but, look, none of that matters. In this episode from way back in 2019, before any of us could spell Covid never mind knew what it was, we’ve got a case of two ex-lovers fighting over money paid for a mortgage. Judging Judy Episode 7: Disney Deeds...DONE DIRT CHEAP? | a comedy podcast

It’s all about fraud and greed this week on Judging Judy! It’s 2020 and all they want to do is visit Disneyland for the kid’s birthday— but she scammed them out of their money? Or…did she?! Maybe the reason was because it was 2020, and he had COVID! It’s up to Judge Judy to decide whether or not this family’s newfound friend — and Disneyland employee — was actual a conniving con artist. After all, they accuse her of not just stiffing them on the tickets: they say she made lots of big promises. She was about to become a millionaire! They would buy a bar together! And then, of course, finally, it’s up to me to decide whether it’s Judge Judy who’s innocent or not. Did she do her job and deliver justice with the cases before her? Case #1: He thought it was love; she thought they were gifts. It’s a classic he said, she said. It’s a sad sop cruise director vs. a flighty flight attendant. The only thing the two can agree on is that they are no longer in love. It’s up to Judy to decide if she owes him back the money and TV he bought; otherwise, she gets to watch the Super Bowl on with her new beau. Case #2: His dreams of karaoke fame and stardom relied on one thing: her money. But when they broke up, he kept on singing without paying her back. He claims that it was a gift and didn’t even need her money thanks to his lucrative hair cutting business. She says he’s a loser, a failure and kind of a weirdo. Will Judy side with the slighted ex-girlfriend who, all things considered, should have never given the guy money to begin with? Or will she side with the guy who’s proudly only working two nights a week at a bowling alley doing glow-in the dark karaoke? This is Judging Judy! I’m looking not only at the rulings themselves but the Judge’s conduct as well. Did she act like a child? Did she yell and scream and pout? Did she showboat? Did she roll her eyes too many times? Did she, ultimately, treat those who came before her with dignity and respect? If Judge Judy acted fairly, she’s innocent. If not, she’s guilty. Judge Judy is a comedy podcast like no other. Once again, Judy is on doggy duty. She has to decide whether Talisha is telling the truth — did her cousin’s pup really try to attack her? Talisha claims that she had to jump into her car via its sun roof to save her skin. But they say that the dog was friendly and precocious, and… they kind of imply that Talisha is out of her mind. This is a four-legged family feud! Judy dives deep into how the Trouser family got the dog and goes to great lengths to insult every member of the family for being irresponsible dog honors and all-around bad people. Is Judy’s treatment of the defendant’s justified or is she guilty of being a big old jerk? That’s for us to decide! Our second case is all about child-support and volleyball, topics that hit close to home for all red-blooded Americans. Or am I just thinking of myself? I very well may be! Anyway, Dad doesn’t want to pay for his daughter’s volleyball fees because he feels like he’s been paying child support his whole life. Ignore the logical fallacy! Meanwhile, Judy wants an explanation from Mom as to why she’s getting child support at all. It’s a classic switcheroo from America’s favorite daytime TV judge. And, as always, we wind the episode up with a ruling: is Judge Judy guilty or is she innocent? Did she do her job and deliver justice? Or was her act a little too much?
