022: The Next Step for Therapists: The thERApist³ Community

In today’s episode I want to talk about something a little bit different - the brand new  thERApist³ Community. This is something I’ve created specifically for therapists who are ready to go a bit deeper in their work, build confidence in their clinical thinking, and feel supported by other therapists who really understand the challenges of this profession. Working as a therapist can sometimes feel quite isolating. You’re making decisions on your own, navigating complex client cases, and often wondering whether other therapists are experiencing the same things. The thERApist³ Community is designed to change that. In this episode I’ll explain what the community is, who it’s for, and how it can support you as you grow in your skills, your knowledge, and your confidence as a therapist. So if you’re a therapist who’s looking for more support, more learning, and a place to have thoughtful conversations about real clinical practice... this episode is for you. 021: Oncology Massage: Moving Beyond Fear and Misconceptions

In today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about oncology massage and what this really means for therapists working in clinical practice. Over the years, cancer has unfortunately become something that many of our clients are affected by: either personally, or through someone close to them. As therapists, this means we are increasingly likely to work with people who are currently undergoing treatment, living with cancer, or recovering after treatment has finished. But despite this, many therapists still feel uncertain. They worry about whether it’s safe to treat someone with cancer, whether massage could cause harm, or whether they should avoid treating these clients altogether. In this episode, we’re going to unpack some of those concerns. We’ll talk about what oncology massage actually is, how it differs from general massage, and what therapists need to understand in order to work safely and confidently with clients who have a cancer diagnosis. Because the reality is that with the right knowledge and clinical reasoning, massage can play an incredibly supportive role for people during and after cancer treatment. So if you’ve ever wondered what oncology massage really means for therapists, and how we should be thinking about working with clients who have a cancer diagnosis, this episode is for you.

020: The Lymphatic System: The Missing Link in Integrative Practice

In this episode, we shift from mindset and awareness back into the body, exploring one of the most overlooked systems in health and wellbeing: the lymphatic system. Often associated only with detox or swelling, the lymphatic system plays a far deeper role in energy, immunity, emotional processing, and nervous system regulation. When lymph flow is supported, people often experience greater clarity, lighter energy, improved mood, and a deeper sense of ease in the body. In this episode, Sam explores: * What the lymphatic system actually does (in simple, accessible terms) * Why stress, overwhelm, and emotional holding can impact lymphatic flow * How stagnation in the body can mirror stagnation in mindset and energy * Why Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Brazilian MLD are powerful tools within integrative health * How gentle, rhythmic touch supports safety, rest, and restoration This episode is especially relevant for therapists and practitioners who want to understand how body-based work supports emotional wellbeing and mindset shifts, and for anyone curious about how healing happens when we support flow rather than force. 🌿 Healing isn’t always about doing more - sometimes it’s about helping the body move what it’s been holding.

019: The Art of Savouring and How You Can Use This Skill to Enhance Your Practice

In this episode, Sam shares a podcast from Erica, originally recorded for LifeHeal University, and now brought to the podcast for listeners who may not be part of the platform. This episode explores the art of savouring  - a key concept within positive psychology and how consciously slowing down, noticing, and appreciating meaningful moments can profoundly enhance both your personal life and your professional practice. Erica guides you through the wisdom of gratitude, presence, and awareness, offering practical insights into how these skills can support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and deeper connection with yourself and others. Whether you’re a practitioner, therapist, or simply someone seeking a more intentional way of living, this episode invites you to pause, reflect, and integrate savouring into the way you live and work.

018: What I Learned in London and How It Has Changed My Thought Patterns

Episode 18 - What I Learned in London and How It Has Changed My Thought Patterns In this episode, I’m sharing some honest reflections from my recent time in London, not just what I did, but what it shifted in me. Stepping into new environments has a powerful way of revealing our unconscious thought patterns, especially around value, identity, and what we believe is “possible” for us. London held up a mirror. It challenged old stories, stretched my sense of self, and quietly rewired how I think about my work, my worth, and the future of integrative health. We explore how environments influence mindset, how exposure to higher-level conversations can expand internal limits, and why noticing your own thinking patterns is one of the most underrated tools for personal and professional growth. This episode is for anyone feeling on the edge of a next chapter, especially therapists, practitioners, and purpose-driven humans who sense they’re ready to think differently, but aren’t quite sure what needs to change yet. A reflective, grounding conversation on growth, identity, and becoming more intentional with the thoughts that shape our lives.
