MTTW comes out of retirement for this single one-off episode. This is the intro to Chapter 20 titled "The Digital Era of Medicine" for the book "An Internist's Path: What to Expect after an Internal Medicine Residency" published by Springer Nature. In this short segment, Chris Chiu and Sai Achi discuss their pathway into digital scholarship and creation. The full chapter was written by Chris Chiu, Sai Achi and Marty Fried. It explores the role of digital scholarship in medicine and highlights how digital platforms like social media and podcasts are reshaping views on identity, professional development, and patient engagement. Multimedia works such as videos and podcasts can be used not only to educate but also synthesize evidence and disseminate medical innovations and clinical strategies.
