Tye is an up and coming comic to watch from our scene! We talk about his comedy journey, some of the comedy gems he's learned along the way, and of course, he turns the tables at one point and asks me some questions! Its almost like he hosts his own podcast or something lol. But it was fun to record, and guaranteed to be a good listen! Check us out! In this episode, I talk with my new comedy friend, Audrey Soper, a local comic here in the Columbus comedy scene. Theres a bonus track at the end, where things get kinda random lol. But, it fits the vibe of the episode, so it's there for anyone who wants it! We talk about Audreys' coding experience, how she improved her improv skills at renaissance fairs before killing off the group, and she even pitches an original idea about how to keep up with your favorite comics' show schedule because she is super smart with stuff like that. It's something she may or may not create. So for now, it's TBD. Also, we mention a local favorite a few times, Murph Henderson, because honestly, it's not a REAL episode of Mic Side Chat, if we don't mention my "not best friend" Murph at least once.

Mic Side Chat with Setoiyo Ekpo

On this episode I talk with a very good friend of mine, Setoiyo Ekpo, a headlining comic in the Philly comedy scene. Setoiyo started exploring comedy in the Columbus comedy scene after suffering an injury during his professional dancing career. He felt like it would be a good career change. Once he got things going, he then made the move to do comedy in Philly about 10 years ago. Since then, he's recorded an album, become a full time comic in the club circuit, and still does some B-Boy dancing when he can. This episode is rich with comedy wisdom, Setoiyo's quick wit, and wholesome conversation between two old friends catching up. I think you'll really enjoy this one!
