The rise of the “tradwife” — women who embrace a hyper-traditional, domestic lifestyle as wives and mothers. From soft-focus homemaking aesthetics to overt political messaging, the tradwife movement sparks heated debates about feminism, free will, and gender roles. Is the "tradwife' trend really harmless? We explore the tension between “choice feminism” and the deeper political, racial, and cultural ideologies that often underpin these choices. Together, we’ll look at how nostalgia for a so-called “simpler time” can conceal systems of patriarchy, white supremacy, and the policing of women’s bodies.
