Before medical school, she worked full-time as a registered nurse at University Hospital in San Antonio in the medical and transplant intensive care units, alongside cardiothoracic surgery and the cath lab. Today’s guest: S/ Dr. Reagan Loria S/ Dr. Loria is a rising fourth-year medical student who graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Philosophy, focusing on medicine and ethics, and a minor in biology. She is a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) and is currently an officer in the US Navy. As an osteopathic student, she is interested in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM), with multiple research projects about the utilization of OMM in the preoperative setting. S/ Dr. Loria will be the first physician in her family and is applying for anesthesiology for the 2024 Match. What is "Ok, But How?"

This is the introductory podcast to "Ok, But How?" (OBH) OBH is a narrative style podcast that focusses on telling the authentic stories of first generation and non-traditional students and professionals. The first season will focus on medicine and we hope to expand the topics to other professional areas, such as law, veterinarian medicine, and more. The monthly episodes will be 30 minutes to 1 hour and will launch in August 2023. We will be posting on IG, Tik Tok, Twitter, and YouTube.
