Disciple of Jesus - Part 2

This powerful message invites us into a deeper understanding of what it truly means to be disciples of Jesus Christ. At its core, we're challenged with a profound truth from John the Baptist: 'He must become greater, I must become less.' This isn't just a nice sentimentit's the very heartbeat of discipleship. We discover that our journey involves an ongoing battle between the flesh and the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5. The flesh constantly whispers lies, telling us to stay comfortable, to prioritize our small world, while the Spirit calls us to a kingdom perspective that sees beyond our immediate circumstances. We're reminded that the fruit of the Spiritlove, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-controlaren't just nice qualities to admire but are meant to mature and grow in us over time, becoming nourishment for others who encounter our lives. Alongside this fruit, we've been given specific gifts by the Holy Spirit, not just for our own benefit but to bless the church and transform the broken world around us. Perhaps most challenging is the call to embrace a kingdom perspective that lifts our eyes beyond our personal struggles to see God's global work, to value the church despite its imperfections, and to actively participate in making disciples. This message ultimately points us to Philippians 2:12-13, reminding us that God is creating in us both the longing and the ability to fulfill our unique purpose for His good pleasure.

Disciple of Jesus - Part 1

What does it mean to truly live as a disciple of Jesus in our everyday lives? This powerful message challenges us to move beyond passive Christianity toward a lifetime of intentional transformation. Drawing from John 14:26, Galatians 4:6, and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, we're invited to examine five foundational values that mark an authentic disciple: valuing the Holy Spirit's work, embracing worship, prioritizing prayer, treasuring Scripture, and proclaiming the gospel. The heart of discipleship isn't about programs or performanceit's about daily surrender and walking in step with the Spirit. We're reminded that the Holy Spirit is our parakletos, the one called to walk beside us, providing wisdom, direction, and the very identity as children of God. Yet there's a sobering warning: we can quench the Spirit through sin and fleshly appetites, sabotaging our own futures when we choose the easy path over Spirit-led wisdom. The question we must wrestle with is this: What if we decided for the rest of 2026 to give Jesus more prominence in our everyday lives? Not as a New Year's resolution, but as a heart response to His invitation to take up our cross daily. This isn't about achieving perfection but about pursuing intimacy with God that naturally flows into worship, prayer, Bible reading, and sharing the good news with a lost world.

Pressing On by Grant Heslop

This powerful exploration of Philippians 3:7-14 challenges us to radically reorient our priorities around knowing Christ. The Apostle Paul's testimony reveals a stunning transformation where everything he once valuedhis heritage, achievements, and religious credentialshe now considers garbage compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus. This isn't about dismissing our past or our accomplishments, but about recognizing that intimacy with Christ eclipses everything else. The passage invites us into an active pursuit of faith, not passive complacency. Paul's language of pressing on, using hunting terminology from the original Greek, suggests an alert, urgent engagement with our spiritual journey. We're encouraged to wake each day with a simple but profound prayer: 'Jesus, help me to know you more today.' This message reminds us that our best years aren't behind us but ahead of us, that we're on a heavenward trajectory even through difficulties. The key question becomes: What has Christ taken hold of us for? What purpose are we meant to fulfill in this season? By refusing to give our past failures airtime in our future, we can seed tomorrow with the potential of God's calling rather than yesterday's regrets.

Seechange 24th May 2026, Foundations - Why We Pray by Busie Jones

This powerful message on Pentecost Sunday explores the transformative nature of prayer as a relational act rather than a religious ritual. Drawing from Luke 11:1-4, we discover that the disciples didn't ask Jesus to teach them how to perform miracles, but how to praybecause they recognized that prayer was the source of His authority and power. The Lord's Prayer becomes not just words to recite, but a framework for intimate communion with our Father. We're reminded that prayer isn't complicatedit's simply communicating with the One who loves us and cares deeply about our lives. The message beautifully unpacks each phrase of the Lord's Prayer, showing how 'Our Father' establishes relationship, 'hallowed be Your name' brings us into worship, 'Your kingdom come' aligns us with His mission, and 'give us our daily bread' acknowledges our dependence. Perhaps most profoundly, we're challenged to see ourselves like the remora fish that attaches to a sharksimply abiding in God's presence, going where He goes, protected and provided for without striving. When we pray, we become like charged power banks, filled with God's presence so that others can plug into us throughout the day and receive life. This is why a praying church cannot sit idleprayer connects us to God's heart for a hurting world and compels us to minister to one another out of the overflow of His love.

Portada del episodio Why We Sing

Why We Sing

This powerful exploration challenges us to reconsider what worship truly means in our daily lives. We often equate worship with singing on Sunday mornings, but Scripture reveals something far more profound: worship is actually our entire lifestyle of surrender to God. Drawing from Romans 12:1, we're reminded that offering our bodies as living sacrifices is our 'true and proper worship.' The message takes us on a journey through the Old Testament, particularly focusing on David's Tabernacle where 288 musicians worshipped God continuously for 33 years. Imagine that level of devotion! This wasn't just religious duty; it was ministering to the heart of God Himself. The Book of Psalms emerged from this extended time in God's presence, giving us a manual for worship that transcends mere singing. We learn that singing leads us to praise, praise leads us to worship, and worship ushers us into God's presence. When we gather and sing together, we're not just going through motions; we're releasing life into the atmosphere, unifying around our shared faith, and responding to the reality that Jesus promised: 'Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.' Our corporate singing becomes a powerful declaration that transforms both the singer and the atmosphere, bringing heaven's reality into our earthly gathering.
